Cole and I walked hand in hand inside the pack house the next day. My peach sundress floated around us as we walked in to the applauds of the pack.

"Welcome to the family." William said, bringing me into a tight squeeze. I smiled and pated his back before he released me. I looked past him to see my brother and my parents.

"Jacob." I said as he swept me off my feet.

"Congrats sis." He said. To close for my liking. Cole thought. I laughed and backed away from my brother to hug my mother.

"I am so proud of you Jessica." My mother said as I moved to my father.

"Dad." I said, nervous as hell but surprised when he pulled me into a tight hug.

"I am so proud of you." He said. "Please will you all come outside?"

"Of course." William said, leading us outside were the entire McKnight pack stood. They immediately bowed down upon seeing me.

"May I now present the new luna of the McKnight pack, Luna Jessica May McKnight." My father announced, placing a crown of white flowers on my head. I smiled, looking back at Cole who just clapped.

"And may I present the new Alpha and Luna of the Darkwood pack. Alpha Cole Mason Darkwood and Luna Jessica May McKnight. From this day forwards both packs shall live in harmony with one another." Cole came forward and took my hand as our packs merged for the first time with the end of his fathers words.

"May the feud finally be over William and I am truly sorry about Heather. I know I have said it thousand of times before but really. I am deeply-"

"You were just protecting your family. No need to be sorry Seth. I forgive you." William told my father, hugging him gently. I smiled as I was guided inside and into the study.

"Now for your marks like this." Cole said, lifting his shirt so I could see the mark I saw from so long ago. The one line with two slanted through it.

"Oh." I said, running my fingers over it.

"Only yours will be three lines. Don't worry. I'll be here the whole time just go slip into this." Cole said, handing me a black sports bra and shorts. I went in the bathroom and changed, pulling my hair up and walked back outside.

"Luna Jessica. Please come sit down and let's get started." Said the tattoo artist. I sighed and walked over to the chair and sat.

"Right here the entire time." Cole said, kneeling and taken my hand as the tattoo artist got ready.

"Fur color?"

"White." he nodded and grabbed some black ink then came over and started. My skin ignited as he tattooed my body. Thirty five minutes later he was done. Rachel smiled from her place next to Jacob as Cole and I walked to the main gathering room.

McKnight and Darkwood pack members all stood together, laughing and smiling but turned serious as Cole and I walked up to the over hang to look at them. Jack came up to Cole's left and to my surprise Sam came to my right.

"I'm the Luna's beta. It's been that way for hundreds of years. Women of my family have always been the Luna's Beta. I'm sorry we got off on the wrong paw. I'm Samantha McClay. Nice to formally meet you Luna Darkwood." I shock her hand and smiled as she turned back towards the pack.

"Jack. Anything I should be aware of?" Cole asked over his shoulder as the pack members gathered stared up at us but mostly the McKnights staring at me.

"No sir. I have already sent messengers to border guards to inform them of the change in leadership." Cole nodded and looked over our pack.

"Everyone is dismissed." Cole announced and members started filing out. "Same counical?" Jack nodded.

"Alpha Darkwood. There have been sighting of Darkwood wolves in ex neutral territory but that territory now is Darkwood territory since the packs have combined." A messenger shouted as he bounded up the stairs.

"Gather attack forces and let's move out." Cole said, taken off with Jack closely behind him.

"Oh please don't tell me you are going I be one of those Luna's that stays out of the way and doesn't fight." Sam complained but I took off.

"We need to get home. Shift and let me ride you. I need my horse for this one. Sam please." Sam sighed and shifted, allowing me onto her back. "Let's go. something bad is going to happen I can feel it."

Sam lunged forwards towards our house. Upon arrival Six was already tacked up along with his handler on his horse.

"Thanks Jeff." I said, climbing onto my horse. "Sam, flank me. Jeff. When I shift you grab Six and get him back here safely and then down into the underground barn and lock it down until I return."

With that all three of us set off. I could hear the distant sounds of our new pack coming together to find Dagger trespassers. The canyon grew closer and closer until finally Six was soaring over it.

Sounds of a fight sounded as I leapt from Six and Jeff hurried and grabbed him. I took off running into the trees and shifted. Sam snapped at me but we continued towards the sound. I kept my mind clear and my heart focused as it grew closer and closer.

Cole. Please be alright. I thought.

I'm fine. We have the all rounded up and heading towards the boarder. Cole answered. A look of confusion must have crossed my face as we leapt into the middle of a fight. It was three McKnights with two Darkwood fighting seven Dagger members. I growled an lunged at one, sinking my teeth in as we rolled.

"It's Luna Jessica." Someone growled. I rolled my eyes and threw the Dagger I was fighting.

"Herd them to the boarder." I hissed and soon we had our own herd. Two messenger had joined us by now and I sent them out to relay that all Daggers were to be herded to the boarder.

More and more Dagger pack members were pushed into our herd until we had swept the entire neutral territory. Now we all ran together, herding the pack of Daggers to the border.

The sounds of growling and snapping of my pack filled the big convoy as we neared the border. I eventually froze and tilted back my head, letting out a warning cry to Cole's group at the Dagger border.

I saw the distant members of our new pack as we closed in until we were watching Dagger members cross the border.

"Good job." Cole said, liking my chin. I smiled and nuzzled his neck, taking in his warm scent as we turned and began heading home with our pack.
