Year: Cecilia - Seventh Year

Cecilia "Cece" Chapman almost felt like she had nowhere to hide anymore, besides her dorm. But that was too confining for her, yet she couldn't escape. He seemed to be everywhere she was. At first, it had been cute, something she'd been used to since she was little, and he was born. But as they . . . well as he got older, it got a bit unnecessary.

"Hiya, Cece!" Jason Weasley greeted with a happy smile, sitting with her on the Slytherin's common room couch.

"Hush!" Cecilia said quickly. "I'm trying to be inconspicious."

Jason looked like he wanted to really laugh, but he held it to a small chuckle. Even though Jason was younger than her, a third year to her seventh year, the two were close. Cecilia figured it was due to her sister and his father, Hugo, being so close. But with how much he was like his father, Jason looked nothing like him. Instead he looked more like his mother, except for the few freckles on his cheeks.

"Hiding from Mitchell?" Jason guessed.

Cecilia looked down at her book. "How did you know?"

"Because everyone knows about Mitchell's huge crush on you!" Jason joked. "And it's obvious to some of us that you're doing all you can to avoid him."

"You know, he's your friend too. Can't you talk to him?" Cecilia muttered with a sigh.

"Because he spends most of the time talking about you," he teased. But at Cecilia's small glare, he rolled his eyes. "He just really likes you. Give him a break."

Cecilia just shook her head and closed her book. "Thanks for the help, but I'm going to the library. I'll see you around, Jason."

"Later, Cece," Jason said with a smile.

Cecilia sighed as she examined the hallway as she left the common room. No sign of him. No sign of Mitchell James Malfoy. Cecilia had known Mitchell since he was born, and she'd grown up playing with him. But she'd grown up and gone to Hogwarts. And he'd had yet to grow out of his childish crush on her. He was a fourth year for Merlin's sake! She was seventeen! An adult! Yet he persisted, and Cecilia honestly had no deeper feelings for him than a close friendship. And honestly, she missed that friendship. Lately, he was just obsessed with trying to convince her to go on a date with him.

Entering the library, Cecilia made her way to the Charms section, and looked for a book that would help her on her essay that she'd be writing later. She found one, and immediately scowled. The top shelf, way far out of her reach. Letting out a heavy sigh, and regretting leaving her wand in the dorm room, Cecilia began to attempt to reach for the book. Of course, she came up short.

A hand appeared and picked the book she'd been reaching for, and held it out to her. Cecilia turned around to thank the person, and stopped short, her heart thumping in her chest. Jay Avery stood behind her, smiling in a charming manner, holding out the book.

Jay Avery was Brandon's oldest son, just a year younger than she was. According to her sister Lily, as a child, Cecilia had played with him a few times, although she was too young to remember. But in the present . . . Cecilia had wished that they'd spent more time together as children, and she wished that she could at least call him a best friend . . . well she really wanted to call him something more.

Jay Avery was probably one of the most handsome men that Cecilia had ever seen. While he had his mother's blonde hair, which to her looked incredibly soft on him, he had his father's face and smile. Despite being a year younger, he was much taller than she was, and was lean with muscle. He had his father's warm brown eyes, and the most perfect smile. He made her heart race every time she saw him.
