Chapter 13 "Can we talk?

                                    

                                          
Murda , Keyshawn and Woddy are on their way downstairs to the car to go to the next show when they realize Teak hasn't met up with them yet .
"Mane where this nigguh at? He's never late." Murda said aloud . "I texted him and he didn't answer ." 
"Maybe I need to go upstairs and check on him . "Maybe he overslept." Woddy added.
"Okay we will wait in the car for you Woddy." Keyshawn added as she and Murda walked to the parking lot .
As Woddy makes his way to Teak's room, he notices that the housekeeper is inside the room cleaning it .
"Excuse ma'am, did you see the guy who was staying in this room this morning?" Woddy asked .
" Sweetie, he checked out the room earlier this morning." The housekeeper answered.
"Oh ok then , thanks for your help." Woddy answered feeling confused .
"Why would this nigguh just up and leave like this ?" Woddy thought to himself . 
"These nigguhs are so unpredictable."
"Did you find him?" Murda asked as Woddy walked up to the car .
" Yea so the housekeeper said he checked out earlier this morning." Woddy answered.
"This nigguh must've gone back home but why? He knows we still have a couple more stops on the tour and he's our fuckin security!" Murda added angrily .
*BING*
Murda : Teak why yo ass just left like that? You know I need you . Hit me back before my show starts .
Teak glances at the txt but ignores it as he walks  back toward Lexy's room and plops on her bed .
As he sits he notices how warm and  inviting her room is . Candles burning,  warm colors on the wall . The bedding was soft and filled with fluffy and furry pillows. On the side of the nightstand is a framed picture of them that they took the first night Teak came to stay with her which he thought was very thoughtful. The room really fit her personality.
Lexy sits toward the top of her bed trying to keep her distance from Teak.
"Soo what's up ? How was the trip ?"Lexy asked, trying to kill the awkwardness.
" I really didn't stay long but it was okay . I got you these." Teak answered while handing her the flowers.
" These are really nice T, I love them , thank you." Lexy said, trying not to sound too excited.
"So that's it ? Is that all you needed to talk to me about?" Lexy asked inquisitively.
"No Lee-lee. Listen I'm not always good at understanding my emotions and I can be very impulsive but I thought about a lot of things last night including us."
"Us?" Lexy asked, confused .
"Well our friendship and stuff but not just that. I'm realizing that I'm tired of having meaningless relationships , sex and living life in survival mode. What I had with Lil Murda , I realized that has now  passed . Him and I operate solely off lust and familiarity . I love him but not the same way I used to and neither does he  . I think that's because the realness is gone. "Teak continues .
"Okayyy so I get that but what does that have to do with our friendship ? You think that's meaningless too?" Lexy asked .
"No, of course not. With you it's different. It's hard to explain because I feel safe with you , genuine love and care but at the same time I'm scared too." Teak replied honestly.
"Tell me what you are afraid of . I'm not going to hurt you. I lo— umm that's the last thing I'd do" Lexy answered.
" It's not necessarily you but me lil mama . What if I fuck up? What if I think I know what I want but change my mind or we try and don't work ? I've never explored a relationship with a woman and I'm not sure how to do everything. How would that affect our friendship? It's already strained now." Teak said .
" Well you're right it's strained but that's on me." Lexy admitted.
" You were honest about your feelings and I have to respect that but as far as fear ? You should never let that get in the way of something you say you want . No relationship/friendship is perfect but as long as everyone is honest and respectful the rest can be worked out usually  . So what is it that you want T?"
Teak scoots closer to Lexy and leans in close 
"You . I just want you but we have to take it slow Lee Lee. If we do this we gotta do it right so no one gets hurt . Can we agree to that?" Teak asked.
"Well I want to but you sounded so sure about not really wanting me in that way a week ago . Are you sure fear was the only thing that's  stopping you ? Because if your heart is truly attached to someone no one will be able to fill that void ."Lexy replied.
"Haven't I been upfront with you all this time Lee Lee?" 
Lexy shakes her head in agreement.
"Well you have your answer then." Teak replied.
Lexy jumps up and straddles Teak and kisses him passionately. 
" I've missed you so much this past week. I'm willing to try if you are and we will just hope it works out but if not I'll have to respect it. She started to unzip his pants when she realized he had just gotten home .
" Maybe I should let you  go and get comfortable. You're sleeping with me in here tonight" Lexy replied seductively . 
"Aight Lil mama I'll be back in a few." Teak gave her a kiss as he left the room.
