Ominis POV

No sooner than the Headmaster's body had hit the floor, Ominis heard the hall turn to pandemonium.  The air was thick with screams, filled with hexes and jinxes and whatever the staff sent flying into the air. There were screams and grunts and groans and yells, and Ominis couldn't for the life of him understand what was going on.

Someone had reached for his hand, and he was yanked into the undertow of bodies, who were scrambling to get away from his brother.

"Let go," he yelled at the person who had grabbed his hand. He was almost sure it was Sebastian, but he didn't say so. Amongst all the noises, he couldn't hear anyone's reply. He heard something crash to the floor and everyone around him flinched and yelped.

The hand tugged at him, with a lot of force, so yes, it was Sebastian.

"Let go!" he shouted to the air. He had a sudden surge of anger, he didn't care about himself anymore - he wanted to go up to his brother. "Let me-" he tried again, but the muscle of the person dragging him was too much. "Sebastian!" Ominis cried. "Please, let me go-"

"Don't be stupid," Sebastian shouted. "Stop resisting! We need to get somewhere safer!"

"I want to stop him," Ominis found himself shouting back, still tugging at Sebastian's arm.

"You can't stop him!" His hand gripped on Ominis' harder, almost crushing the bones. "I will fucking hex you," Sebastian screamed at him through the crowd around them. "Fucking follow me!"

Ominis gave in, but no sooner did he give in, Sebastian loosened his grip and Ominis was able to yank his hand from Sebastian's grasp and sprint. He knocked into almost every single person he could. His wand could navigate, it had the power, but only so fast. He could not hear Sebastian anymore. He'd been swept away by the tide.

No one was there to stop him.

He was going to do it.

Sebastian POV

"Fuck!" Sebastian shouted at the air. Ominis' hand had slipped from his grip. He couldn't see him anymore either, an array of people were pushing and shoving and Sebastian didn't know where Marvolo was, either.

The Headmaster was dead. They'd seen it. Marvolo had killed him.

And everyone knew, the Headmaster was one of the purest here, in the school. That was done to prove a point. Marvolo was mad. He didn't have a purpose anymore. No one here was safe. Sebastian thought of Rowley, briefly, wondered where he'd ended up. Hoping he'd gotten back into the castle, or somewhere away from the loyalists that raided the hall.

"Sebastian!"

Sebastian whipped his head around. "Poppy?" He couldn't see her, she was short and small and there were too many people around.

A spell was aimed near Sebastian, hitting him just below his feet and there was a slight ringing in his ears after he jumped back.

"Shit," he cursed, but he didn't hear himself. "Poppy?" There was no hope of hearing her now. He stumbled backwards from the impact of the hex. "Poppy!"

A hand grasped the back of his robes, pulling him downwards, and he turned around. A student had been hit with one of the loyalists hexes, and there was blood blossoming crimson on the cobblestone below him. It was quick, it pooled around his body like ink. Sebastian stumbled back, the other way. The hands of the student grabbed desperately around his feet, trying to grip onto something real. Sebastian had to bite back a cry and his body threatened vomit. His ears were still ringing, and he every time he blinked he saw blood. His breath was coming in short gasps, stinging his chest with every intake.
