(Y/n) pov

I woke up like usual. It was a pretty average Saturday for me. There was nothing planned with the others so I just sat on the couch and watched a movie. A lazy Saturday. Well it was until my mom came home. I'm not too sure about the details but she started talking to me. Then started mumbling something under her breathe. I was confused and was going to ask her what she was saying but then I felt like I couldn't breath.

My chest tightened and I started gasping for air. What hell is happening. "M-mom." Was the only thing I could get out as I dropped to the floor. I needed to get to Sal. He would hell me and he's more closer then Larry. I looked at my mom to see some weird symbol on her. With the air that I had left I screamed. "Help me!" Then darkness surrounded me.

I woke up to the sound of a heart monitor. When I opened my eyes I was blinded by the lights. "Shit that's bright." I rubbed my eyes. "(Y/n)?!" I heard voices and it scared me. I looked around and Larry and Sal were there. "What happened?" I asked. "After you screamed I rushed out." Sal started to explain.

"You scared the shit out of me and even my dad woke up. I went to check on you and I found your mom crying as you were unconscious and not breathing. My dad called the ambulance. You've been asleep for about a day." I scratched my head. "They said you had some problems with your lungs." That just doesn't sound right. My mom said something and then I couldn't breath. I can't tell Sal and Larry here.

"Oh okay." I responded. I looked to my right and I saw some flowers and a small bear. "Those are from our parents." Larry said. "Where's my mom?" I asked. "Not sure. She went with you in the ambulance but when we came she was already gone." Sal answered. I nodded at him and sat up but Sal and Larry put his hand up.

"You shouldn't be sitting." Sal spoke. "I'll live. Plus I feel like I've been laying forever." "That's a first." Larry snorted. "Do you want anything to eat?" Sal asked. "In a little. I just want to sit here." He nodded. We then just started talking and laughing then Ash and Todd came with flowers and chocolates which I was eating.

"(Y/n) you should eat actual food instead of that." Sal spoke as he gently tried to pull the chocolates away. "But this is better." I pulled them back. "You can have this after you eat." He pulled it back. I chuckled debating if I should start a tug of war with chocolate. But I gave in. "Fine but I'm finishing the rest after." He nodded and put it on the chair.

"Nice going Ash you know she can't resist chocolate." Larry spoke. "Well duh that's why I brought it. Plus it makes her happy." Ash rolled her eyes at Larry. Sal and Larry then left to go get me something to eat. "Man you gave me a scare when I found out you weren't breathing." Ash spoke sneaking me another chocolate. "Yeah I scared myself." I admitted eating the chocolate.

"I wonder what could've caused it." Todd said adjusting his glasses. I shrugged. "Well I'm still here aren't I? And it's not like anything is new." I started to stretch. "Well yeah but it's been at least 4 years since you last had any breathing problems." Todd was right. It has been awhile. I really should mention what happened right before it.

Sal and Larry came in with some food. "So when do I get out of this place?" I asked grabbing some food with my fork. "I'm not sure you're going to have to ask a nurse or something." Sal said. "You realize nobody has even checked on me." I bit into the food. The realization hit everyone. "Holy shit your right." Larry spoke. "And you've been awake for atleast 3 hours already."

Todd and Sal went to go find someone. "I hope I get to leave today. I hate being here." I said to particularly no one. "I wouldn't be too sure about that." I looked at Ash and she started to smirk at Larry who then looked at me. "What the fuck is going on between you two?" I bit onto the fork looking at the two.

"Larry here tells me you and Sal have been hanging out a lot recently." Ash smiled. "Is that a crime?" I questioned. "Of course it is. A crime of love." I cringed at Larry. "Dude no." I looked at my food. "Well you have to admit it. You and Sal are both drooling over each other." I rolled my eyes at him.

"Seriously? I'm in the hospital and you guys are more interested if wether or not I'm into Sal." I was trying to change the topic. "You said you were fine." Ash got closer to me. "What happens if a say no?" I stared at Ash. "Then we'll just have to force it out of you." Ash turned towards the chocolate. "Oh you wouldn't."

"I even got these with my own money." Ash let out a dramatic sigh. "But oh well looks like these are mine now." She grabbed one. I know I can get some by myself but this shit is free. "Fine!" I gave in as Ash almost bit into it. "I'm interested in Sal." I admitted looking down. "See I called it." Larry cheered. "You guys are assholes." I pouted. They both laughed as Todd and Sal came back thank god they didn't hear anything.

"They said you could go." Sal spoke. "Just like that?" I asked. "Yeah they said that they're understaffed so they just handed us your clothes and said your free to leave." Todd explained. "That's fucking weird." We all agreed with Larry. "Well I can get out from these machines and into my clothes." Sal put my clothes on the bed and they all walked out.

I swear these places keep getting weirder and weirder. And isn't this kinda illegal? Doesn't matter I get to go home. I got dressed and grabbed all the gifts and walked out. "Let's get out of here." I said to them. We all started to walk to the apartments and waved off Ash as she had to babysit her brother like usual. I was still a bit off balance from being in a bed for two days so Sal helped me. I glared at Larry seeing his smirk at us.

But we finally reached the apartments. "Hey guys can we maybe talk somewhere private." I had to mention what happened with my mom. They all nodded and we went to Larry's room. I sat on his bed and started to explain everything. From the moment my mom walked in to the stuff she started mumbling and then the symbol.

"Do you remember things like this from your previous lung failures?" Todd asked. I shook my head. "It's like you said it's been 4 years. I try my best not to think about those moments?" "Wait previous failures?" Oh right I never told Sal. "When I was maybe 9 to 11 my lungs started to collapse for no reason. Then one day everything was fine. I didn't need a lung transplant or anything. I was perfectly normal." I explained.

Larry grabbed a piece of paper. "Can you draw the symbol?" I took it from him. Could I really draw it from a small glance. "Try to draw it as best as you can." Sal piped up. I nodded and then started to draw.

It came out like that when I was done. I gave it to Sal. "It's the best I can remember." He nodded looking at the photo then passed it to Todd. "I can try to find anything like this online." Todd spoke. "But I'm going to have to get going it's pretty late." Todd waved at us and left. I stared at the floor debating if I should ask them.

"(Y/n) what's wrong?" Sal asked. I took a deep breathe. "I don't feel really safe at home." Was all the I managed to get out but the two boys seemed to understand. "You can stay at my place if you want." Sal spoke. "I mean you can sleep on my bed and I'll take the couch. I-if that makes you more comfortable." He scratched the back of his neck. "Thank you Sal." I smiled.

I didn't really care how other people would take it. I literally almost died and my mom is very big suspect so I didn't want to stay there by myself. But I did feel bad for taking Sals bed but he kept reassuring me it was ok. I just closed my eyes and tried my best to forget.
