Opening his eyes in a daze, Ian looked around thinking he was alone but a gentle smile soon flashed on his lips when he saw Hanlu sitting on the chair not far from his bed and sleeping with Lan on top of him. Lan is already 13 years old and he's quite tall among his peers so who would think he's such a baby when it comes to his father? The teachers always complimented how smart and responsible he was at school so no one would think he lets his Daddy treat him like a five-year-old when he's at home. If his classmates saw him now, they would surely change their perception of him
*Chuckles* Still looking at the two, Ian chuckled because both father and son looked adorable. Since Hanlu and Lan were the most excited, especially when his water broke, he knew they must have been so exhausted too. Furthermore, he and Hanlu planned to give birth naturally, but the doctor suggested he should undergo a c-section halfway through the process because he was having a hard time pushing the baby out so he could just imagine how worried the two were for him.
Ian observed the two more, feeling touched. He could still remember the droplets of sweat as Hanlu assisted him to the hospital and to the delivery room as if he was the one going to go into labor while he was very calm and trying to act as tough as he could because he thought one of them must be. After all, they can't be both panicking. However, he was glad. He was glad because this time he was finally not alone. He had been so worried and anxious, he couldn't help it despite knowing full well that this time around the situation was different. But nevertheless, he appreciated Hanlu's effort so much because just like he promised, he never left him. He stayed by his side and reassured him over and over again.
To be honest, he still doubted if he ever was going to be ready to have another child but here he was now, they finally had the second baby Hanlu was asking for all this time and he was truly very happy as well. He can't wait to see his baby soon... but for now, Ian looked around and was delighted when he saw what was on the side of his bed.
"I need to take a picture," he whispered and hurriedly reached out for his mobile phone. Unfortunately, since his body is still aching from the surgery, he made a mistake and dropped his phone instead, breaking it. Because of this, Hanlu immediately woke up and caught his wife about to fall from his bed trying to reach out for his phone which is now on the floor.
"Baby, what are you doing?!" Hanlu frowned as he carefully sat up with Lan in his arms. He's aware that Ian didn't like being treated as a fragile person but the situation is different. Quickly putting Lan on the couch, making sure he wouldn't wake up, Hanlu then walked towards his wife.
"What if your wound reopens?" Hanlu scolded and picked up the mobile device with a cracked screen before giving it to Ian and helping him back to the bed and tucking him in.
"I'm sorry~" Ian apologized. Even since he had gotten pregnant, Hanlu had constantly been scolding him especially when he thought he had been pushing himself too hard. Hanlu wanted him to rest and just do nothing but as someone who grew up working all his life, how could he just sit still and wait for his husband to serve him? He couldn't do it no matter how much he tried and so he always finds himself doing something which Hanlu finds frustrating.
"*sighs* I really hope our Lizzie doesn't become stubborn like her mommy. Also, what were you trying to do? You just woke up. Are you already thinking of working?" Hanlu sighed before sitting on the bed as if he too wasn't such a stubborn man. He put the Omega's phone at the bedside so if he left and woke up, he could call him right away but he never expected the Omega to immediately pick up his phone as soon as he woke up when he was there in the room.
"Jeeze, I'm not and I said I'm sorry. I was only thinking of taking a picture of you and Lan," Ian pouted. This time he admitted that he was wrong but he was really trying his best not to become too much trouble especially now that they have a baby that they have to take care of. He even planned to retire soon so he could have more time with his family just like Hanlu wanted.
