seokjin woke up, the bright sunlight beating the blinds and sneakily entering the room as he slowly blinks his eyes open 
he was cosily wrapped in a warm blanket that felt oddly comforting, that same not so unfamiliar scent swaddled in the blanket, he clutched to the blanket, burying himself deeper feeling a sense of warmth being radiated from it and owing to how cold it was early in the morning and he soon enough realised that it wasn't the weather but the centralised air conditioner that had him shivering under the blanket
he lifted his body straight, stretching out in bed, one leg still tangled under the bedcovers while the other one was on top, running his hands through his messy hair unaware of the eyes that haven't got enough of him, smiling in absolute adoration, hoping he had slept a little longer so there'd be a chance the eyes could satisfy and engrave every small feature in his soul
seokjin felt a brutally penetrating gaze caressing his figure and soon enough he was held hostage by deep brown eyes
he slept well and had one of the most restful nights of his life although he's still exhausted, yesterday, he had had the most gruelling day known to humankind in all of its existence, but there was a part which will be etched in his memory forever, something that he wanted to regret but he couldn't 
very essentially, seokjin's dreams weren't marred by those gruesome nightmares of the accident that he had witnessed, even all these years later he couldn't fall asleep peacefully without dreaming about the accident, the car, the strange woman who he had made promises to, promises that he doesn't quite recall, the burning car and everything just turning to flames, the same dream tormented him everyday but for once, in taehyung's warmth he was able to sleep soundly like a baby, he didn't know if it was the presence of taehyung or was it the lavender scented candles and warm pillows that had lulled him to sleep 
something about taehyung was just so intimidatingly unsettling like some special magical aura that was capable of fixing every problem and trouble in seokjin's life
his throat went dry as taehyung's unwavering gaze which gave away nothing did not allow him to move from his spot, his body felt trapped in place by invisible strings, heart banging against his chest, he pretended to sleep not wanting taehyung catch on the fact that he was wide awake now 
taehyung hadn't slept all night, he sat in his penthouse office, looking at seokjin and besides he had work, so he decided to sit up all night
his penthouse office is only a door away from his bedroom and from his office he could have a clear view of his room, all he had to do was move the blinds, that is how he sat in his office all night, completing some important work that required him to focus while he simultaneously kept a watch on the pretty view that he had brought home, only a glass door away from the beauty 
taehyung watched seokjin shuffle, yawn, pout, drool while sleeping, all night from his safe distance and he couldn't stop smiling whenever seokjin mumbled something in his sleep or the position in which he kept his legs, taehyung slowly took an account of all the small actions of seokjin and made sure he gatekeeps it in his memory forever, whether seokjin chooses to decline this strange proposal or if he actually manages to stay and accomplishes the 30 day mission, collects his cookies and bids him riddance, there were so many things that taehyung was thinking, analysing however, wondering if he'll be able to deal with the consequences, heartbreak and will he actually be able to keep his word under any circumstances and stick to the promise he made. one thing he absolutely didn't want to do right now was overthink and loose hope even before the expedition commenced, for now he was willing to fight, fight for his love, until the end and quitting was never on his checklist
