This is the book of Eumava's time and days and how it passes.
The Dawn's orbit to the land is slow, which both last for 7½ days/a week. They call the 7 days of Dawn. And Dusk that lasts for half a day.
How do they know if a day has passed?:
They cannot, they can only read that it's been 7 days if the Dawn is turning Dusk.
It can also be known that it has been 3 and a half days since the Dawn is in the middle of the sky. When it comes to Dusk, it can be read that the Pillars of Creations has given 7 new Astrals to the world. But, one could not go out in this vulnerable half a day of danger, all must seek refuge as the Darkness lurks in these 7 days where the Dawn doesn't shine. However, only these 7 days, are Astrals able to cure themselves at the Pillar of Creations. Without magic and company, it will be hard for a lone Astral to fend off Darkness, he may as well wish to be like them if one ventured alone.
The normal Calendar of Creatures uses days of Dawn and Dusk. But, it is hard to tell what day it is by how long the Dawn and Dusk last.
In the Astral Calendar, A single Dawn and Dusk is a Day for them because of how long Astrals lifespan is. A year for the Feral and Creature is a month for Astrals.
If you're wondering how they celebrate birthdays, it is unfortunately not a popular thing among every kin. Only Creatures are allowed/able to have birthdays since Astrals are made as slaves in other kingdoms. Although Astrals that have Creature friends have them surprised with their Birthdays.
When Dusk comes, doesn't mean that everyone is doomed to darkness, they rarely attack, and if they do, Astrals attack them or the Pillars of Creation will cast them away with its random bursts of magic. Mostly it just puts up a barrier around its borders to keep itself and other Creatures and Astrals safe.
