Chapter 17

                                    

                                          
 Tay's POV:
It was Monday, and after the weekend I spent with Meg I was all smiles. I really am happy to be her girlfriend after all this time apart. It felt good to finally be with the person I wanted all along.
We got out of my car and walked in school holding hands which made some curious heads immediately whip around to see us. Gia walked up to us with a big smile.
"Okay Tayyy I see you" she said while pointing to our interlocked fingers and I just stayed quiet because I was too flustered to speak. Meg on the other hand, reached down  and pecked my lips causing Gia to squeal in response.
"Ok ok we get itttt" she said before saying goodbye and going to her class.
Meg and I walked over to our individual lockers that were 1 space away from each other. While I was dazed by being in a relationship, I forgot Cal was the one who occupied that space in between our lockers.
When he showed up, Meg came to stand by my side in protective manner. Oh here we go... Surprisingly Cal didn't say anything and just ignored our presence. Then he walked off after getting his stuff.
"Meg I gotta talk to him" I said and she immediately rolled her eyes.
"Why?" She asked and I sighed knowing she will not like the answer.
"Because I hurt him and he was my friend before all this" i gestured to us and she looked conflicted.
"Especially when you messed up" I added and immediately all signs of playfulness left her face.
"Ok fine. But if he even thinks about doing anything to you, tell me" she explained and I nodded in response.
I was about to leave to go to class when she held on my backpack to stop me.
"Can I have a kiss?" She asked and I turned around to face her with a smile before wrapping both arms around her neck and pecking her lips. Meg had other plans though, and pulled me in deepening the kiss.
After we pulled apart, she kissed my forehead and we parted ways to go to our respective classes.





Finally being done with my first class of the day, I mustered up enough courage to approach Cal. He was walking down the hall with some of his friends so I jogged as fast my feet allowed me to and caught up to them. 
"Hey can we talk for a minute" I said after tapping his shoulders and getting his attention.
He looked a bit conflicted for a moment before he nodded and said goodbye to his friends. We awkwardly walked in silence for awhile just trying to find the right time to say something.
"For someone who wants to talk you're quiet as hell right now" Cal eventually said breaking the silence.
"I just don't know how to start" I confessed and he nodded understanding.
"Can we sit?" I suggested as we got by one of the benches in the hallway.
"Yeah" he said and we both sat down. Now that I was a little bit more comfortable I could talk.
"I'm sorry for everything I did Cal... I know it'll be hard for us to just be friends, but I really did appreciate our friendship despite all the shit that went down, and from the bottom of my heart I am so so sorry. I'm just hoping that you can forgive me" I pleaded and he just sat there taking it all in.
"I forgave you from a long time Tay. I love you too much to hold a grudge towards you." He said back.
"Hug?" I suggested and we both got up to embrace each other.
"Ehem" I heard someone clear their throat and I look up to see my beautiful and very possesive girlfriend eying us causing me to pull away from the hug.
