~FELIX'S POV~






He was still sleeping next to me peacefully on his stomach. I couldn't help but roll over onto my side and just watch him as he slept, the way his curls fell around his face and framed it naturally. The way he lashes occasionally fluttered like wings of a butterfly, that natural pout of his lips.
I brushed his hair away with two fingers gently, causing him to stir and turn onto his back facing away from me. Though I reached out again to touch his warm skin. 
It was still dark outside, but the sun would be coming up soon. Someone was awake downstairs and I had no doubt that is was Hyunjin, he hadn't been letting himself sleep much. That's the one thing regretted about giving him a new project to figure out. Once his sights were set, his eyes never closed. 
I got up and decided to see what he was up to. I put on a jacket as I walked out of my bedroom. I looked over the railing and sure enough Hyunjin was at his desk, overhead light on and wheeling back and forth in his chair to certain areas of his studies. 
Upon approaching him, I almost tripped over something that wasn't usually there. A small box of vials filled with blood. "Please don't break those, that all Sunoo would allow me to take." 
"So Sunoo is giving you a limit on this project?" I asked and he sighed. 
"Sadly yes." He said and then turned to me. "Good morning, How's Chris?" 
"Still sleeping. Probably would be til noon, didn't go to sleep until a few hours ago." I walked up behind him, "have you slept?"
"No, but I've been having small steps of understanding what Sunoo's blood does. Come here." He waved me over to his little science set up. "I took a small amount of my blood to be tested on, and I found out exactly why a Pureborns blood is so toxic to those who take it." 
He puts a drop of his blood on a slide and carefully slide it under. He wheeled back to let me peak and what I saw was to be expected of normal human blood. "I took a science class, I know what blood cells look like." 
"Keep that in mind then. Cause the next slide I'm about to show you..." he chuckled and bit down on his bottom, he add his and Sunoo's blood into the mix and set it up. I peaked through and watched as what I assume to be Sunoo's blood cell attacking each of Hyunjin until there was literally nothing left. 
"What the fuck?" I lifted my head and looked at him. 
"It made me start theorizing, and I realized something Felix... you were made by Pureborn blood. Obviously you saw what just happen. I realized I've never seen you bled. We've all chalked it up to you being almost invincible like, but I don't think that's the case." He stood and began working his way around the table. "All the studies and notes I've read from these books, vampires like you? Syphs... there is no history ever of what their blood looks like or any tests done on it. None, zero." He said.
