Natsu POV

"No!!! That's not right. I told you for the thousandth time, that's not right!!"

"Well, I'm sorry if my tutor is horrible at tutoring."

"Nobody told you to ask me to be your tutor."

"But I wanted you to be my tutor so you're going to have to deal with me and my partial stupidness."

"Look, I'm sorry, okay? But if you thought that I was going to be easy on you then you thought wrong."

She pouted but nodded in understanding. I sighed at her childish face but then slightly smiled.

"I can break it down for you if you want. That way you can understand it better."

"That would be good."

"Alright, now, where were we?"

"I think, Math."

"Okay."

I began explaining to Lucy the basics of Math. She nodded her head every now and then when she understood something. I gave her some practice problems and she began to work. My mind began to drift and I started to notice little things about her. I noticed how when she got frustrated she would grip her hair and bite on the end of her pencil. I also noticed that when she was thinking she tapped her cheek and looked at the ceiling. She wrote neatly but in cursive. Her eyes sparkled and she smiled when she would figure something out. She turned towards me and I snapped out of my daydream.

"I'm finished."

"Alright, I'll check it."

As I checked over her work, I could see her playing with her hands and staring at me in the corner of my eye.

"You got them all right."

"I did? Are you serious?"

"Yep."

She jumped up and broke out in a song singing "We are the champions"

"Alright, settle down."

"Gosh, you sound like Mr. Loke."

I shivered at the comparison.

"Never compare me to him. Ever."

"Aww, why not?"

"Because I'm way cooler and the way he treats women is disgusting."

She rested her head on her palm and looked at me with curious eyes.

"How so?"

"Well, all he does is hit and run. If you know what I mean. But. I mean. he can be more creative than that."

She deadpanned at me but then she started thinking.

"A penny for your thoughts?"

She looked a little hesitant before speaking.

"Well, the other day, I was late for school and, uh, I was sitting in a booth by the window and I happened to see you with this girl..."

Well, damn. Shit. Shit. Shit. She saw me with her. This is not good. But I cant lie about it. Why does life hate me so much?

"Well, um, her name is Lisanna."

Her eyes darkened a bit. Uh oh.

"Well, who is she?"

"She's just a good friend."

Lies. Lies. Lies. Shut up, stupid conscious.

She scoffed and turned back back to her books.

"I think this is enough tutoring for today. I'm leaving now."

"Wait, what?"

She didn't answer but she continued grabbing her stuff. She was about to walk out the door when I grabbed her arm and turned her toward me.

"Baby, what's wrong?"

Woah. Where did that come from? She must have realized my slip up 'cause she stopped struggling.

"Why do you always do this to me? You make me weak in the knees just by your fucking smile."

She laughed humorlessly to herself and continued.

"I can't stop thinking about you and its irritating. It hurt when I saw you smiling with her. That smile that you usually give to me. Do you want to know what it fucking felt like? It felt like my heart was being squeezed and pulled apart. But I bet you're wondering why the hell I'm saying this and the truth is I don't know either. But I know one thing. I like you. I like you a lot."

I stood there stunned.

"You...like me?"

She didn't say anything after that. She yanked her arm out of my grip and walked out of the room. Shortly after that, I heard the front door slam loudly but I didn't even flinch.

She likes me.
