; i am so tired... :( idk if i should continue studying or just give up but considering what my dad did for me just to get into uni, its a tough decision. i cant rlly rant these out to my stepbrothers since they'll find a way to somehow tell dad which isn't good !!

and i dont even wanna talk to alhaitham anymore. he has her. nilou's smarter, more confident and more attractive. how can i compete with that?
my other friends might be talking behind my back. i don't blame them. who would want to stay froends with me?

The bright screen of your phone soon disappears once you turned it off after finishing a rant in your notes. Today was just shitty in general.
Assignments were being stacked one after another and your recent project which was a painting of your best friend, Alhaitham was given a B-
Not only that but you've heard a lot of whispers amongst your peers. Rumours of Alhaitham cheating with you over Nilou was being spread around after one student reportedly saw Alhaitham's lockscreen as you instead of his girlfriend in it.
To add to add to that, you saw Nilou herself kiss Alhaitham on the cheek when you were cooking breakfast for yourself. It was a devastating sight, enough to make your heart drop dead.
With all these problems, you were surprised that you hadn't broken down... That much. You were just holding it together really well.
You didn't need anyone, right? Cause after all, you're doing fine! Right?
"Alhaitham, I don't think they're doing fine anymore. I haven't seen them get out of their room and it's getting very worrisome." You hear Nilou's voice in the distance, making you instantly freeze.
"Do you want me to go check? After all, I've known them quite longer than you."
"Of course. If you can, invite them to join us for dinner. I'll be making fish with cream sauce!"
Soon enough, you heard footsteps from outside your door signifying that Alhaitham was going to enter your room. He opens the door and turns on the lights.
Luckily for you, you immediately pretended to be fast asleep.
Well... Unfortunately, Alhaitham was very observant. He could tell you were wide awake. "I know you're awake. You can't keep ignoring me. Just tell me what's wrong."
You didn't open your eyes but rather, it stayed shut. He sighs as he knelt down to your body's height, brushing his fingers through your hair as he whispers, "If you really are awake I hope you hear this. If not, it's fine," He continues by saying, "Stop trying to avoid me. Whatever's happening in your life just remember that I will be there to eliminate your sadness just like I did back when we were 13."
You felt your heart pump loud. Almost loud enough for him to hear.
Before he leaves, he goes, "If you're having thoughts about me abandoning you for Nilou, just remember that you are still my best friend. You deserve to be happy like Nilou."
Ah, there it was , the unnecessary comparison between you and her once again.
Just when will all of these ever stop?
