Innocent green beans, please beware of this chapter, plz
Kai's POV
"So...How did you defeat Aspheera?" Nya asked me the next day during breakfast.
"It—It's a long story," I replied.
"Well, then tell us! I love a good story," Nya argued.
"Fine," I said. "Well, when we came back, Aspheera popped out of nowhere, and then Harumi pretended she was still evil and then secretly threw a knife at her. But Aspheera caught it and threw it off. Then I gathered up all my firepower and blasted her. Before she fizzled away, though, she shot a blast at a chunk of the monastery roof. It was about to fall, but I grabbed Harumi and we took cover under an oversized helmet." I explained.
"See? That wasn't even a long story!" Nya said, smirking.
"Yeah, whatever," I said with a roll of the eye.
"What do you mean, you 'grabbed' Harumi?" Lloyd asked. Harumi was still asleep, so she was not here now.
"Oooh, looks like someone's a little dirty minded~" Cole sneered.
"Oh, shut up!" I said to Cole.
"No, I'm serious!" Lloyd said with a pouty, childish smile.
"Oh, he's seriously dirty minded~"
"Cole, shut your fricking mouth! Dude, what do you mean you 'grabbed' he--"
"I just pulled her arm, bro, chill out. You know I'll always simp for Skylor--" I said, and when Skylor looked at me with wide eyes, I winked and playfully smacked her shoulder.
"Ooh, so now one dirty minded guy and one simp dude~" Cole remarked. His face was all smirky and his voice was proud.
"Cole!!" I gasped. "You are so sus!!"
Nya snorted and burst out laughing. "I couldn't agree more," She said between giggles, and then she coughed and choked on air.
"Whoa, Nya~" Jay gasped.
"I'm fine, chil--ahem! Chill!" Nya croaked. "I mean what Kai said was true. Cole is so sus. One day we were--uh, Kai, don't get mad--spying on Kai and Skylor, and he was saying so many sus things, I can't even say them back to you."
Jay and Lloyd bursted out into laughter while me, Cole, and Skylor just turned red.
"Hey, guys? Let's have a sleepover tonight, right here in the living room! I think it'd be fun. We could play truth or dare or something." Skylor said out of the blue. Was she breaking the awkward silence? If so, I love her even more now!
"Yes! Let's do it, gurly!" Nya cheered, and she and Skylor jumped up on their chairs and clapped.
"Sh*t, that was awkward," Nya said afterwards.
"You just swore, Nya. What about your no swearing policy--"
"Shut up, Kai," Nya said, giving me a glare that could drill a hole through a wall.
"Yeah, but your no swearing policy--"
"Ahem. So...About my f*cking no swearing policy, I mean, this house has a lot of sh*tty people and all who all swear all the time like a b*tchy wh*re...I can, too." Nya said smoothly, and then she dramatically sat back down in her chair.
Me and Cole were wide eyed, impressed, and whatnot. We did that 'OHHHHHH' thing that boys do, and she looked at Jay with a face redder than my fiery eyes when I get angry.
Then Harumi walked in with a sly smirk on her face. "You know, if you add 'dramatically' to a sentence with a verb, it becomes interesting," she said, looking at me. "Like this: Dramatically throws a knife at Aspheera." She looked away, and now I understood why she looked at me in the first place (quote unquote: defeating Aspheera).
"Ah yeah! Dramatically stares at Skylor!" I added, and then I did what I just said and Skylor blushed before blurting out, "Dramatically turns red."
"Dramatically jumps out of a waterfall," Lloyd said, and we all remembered when he did that.
"Dramatically screams at Unagami," Jay muttered.
"Dramatically ships Benthomaar and Sally," Cole said.
"Dramatically repeats, 'you are so sus' in my head," Nya shot back.
"Dramatically has s*x," I blurted out. I put a hand over my mouth.
"What did I just hear?!" Nya gasped. "Kai! Cole is influencing you!"
"Maybe," I said, shrugging. "And dramatically shrugs."
"Dramatically tries to unhear that one super sus sentence that came out of Kai's mouth, and ruined my entire innocence," Lloyd said sourly.
"Oooooooooh~" Me and Cole said at the same time. "Someone's really innocent adorable green bean here~"
"What the f*ck?!" Lloyd shouted, then gasped. "Well, maybe I'm not so innocent."
We all laughed.
But we ended up cancelling the sleepover, because something really crazy happened after this.
