Lucy Rosier 🐺
9th of November, Waxing Gibbous 🌔

I picked on the skin of my nails nervously, my lips pressed together in a thin line. I wanted to laugh and cry at the same time every time my gaze travelled over to the grey newspaper, Daily Prophet, rested on top of McGonagall's desk.

My name in the front page.

Again.

Catchy headline shone over black and white picture of me and Lucius smooching on a bench in the side street opposite the Ministry of Magic. The image moved, his hand grasping my cheek, our lips crashing together in a loop. I felt drops of sweat form at the back of my neck.

'Well?' Headmistress sucked in her cheeks, making her wrinkly face even skinnier, as her grey eyes traveled from Lucius to me and back.

You could hear a pin drop.

'What exactly is it, that you would like to know, Minerva?' Lucius narrowed his eyes as he twirled his thumb over the head of his cane. I sank into my seat silently, my heart hammering in my chest painfully.

'I want to know if it's true, of course' she huffed, intertwining her fingers over the desk.

'We are together. I'm considering moving in with Lucius' I found the courage to speak up as his eyes met mine.

'So it's serious' she concluded and we both nodded. She sighed deeply as she leaned back, clicking her tongue, thinking.

'Make it official then. Miss Rosier's reputation is suffering as it is, sorry dear, so make it bloody right!' I glanced at her with my mouth formed in an "O" as she talked down on Lucius like that.

She opened her palms, giving up.

'Fine' to my surprise Lucius agreed but then he got up and towered over the witch.

'I believe this will turn away the attention of the public from the murder you so desperately try to cover up' His tone was so cold and stern, it made me shiver. He could be so intimidating with those ice-cold eyes of his. The headmistress kissed her teeth and gave him a glance full of hate, while his lips contracted in a mocking half-smirk.

'I can't argue with that, though know that I should report your... affair to the head of governors'.

I held my breath as I watched him inhale sharply. Daggers shooting through his eyes.

'Affair?!' His voice could begin a thunderstorm with the rage shooting through it. I curled up, watching him with my lips parted.

'Don't you dare sticking your old nose in my love life. Or miss Rosier's for that matter' he hissed swiftly, his expression stone-still.

'Don't forget I am still very influential, headmistress' Her eyes widened, before she stood up, only the sturdy desk seemed to be stopping them from a fight.

'Are you threatening me, mister Malfoy?' She questioned, I could have left the room and no one would notice. Lucius chuckled coldly.
