Cassandra POV
My outfit
"Oh come on..." I groaned as I entered the living room full of silence and serious expressions. "Who died?"
"Recently, you did," Kol turned his head towards me and said sarcastically. "And it seems that you also dressed up for your funeral."
I smirked. "Finally, someone with my sense of humor."
"I'm very glad you're having fun Cass, but we have a bit of a problem," Elijah replied as he continued to read the historical records.
I rolled my eyes. "I told you not to call me that, a person with that name never exist-"
"Nevertheless, the copy of Cassandra stands in front of us in all its beauty," Niklaus smiled at me, and for a moment I didn't know how to react. Stupid bond.
"Care to share, Bex, what's bothering your beautiful head?"
I saw her react to me before she looked up at me. "Simply put, we discovered that there is still a weapon that can kill us."
My confusion must have been evident as Freya placed a hand on my shoulder and explained. "Records were found that a white oak once grew back and was cut down, but we don't know where the wood is at the moment. So one piece could kill us all while we're still connected.''
I rolled my eyes smiling at their drama. "You don't have to worry about that," I said and sat down on the sofa and put my feet up. "I took care of it a long time ago."
''What do you mean?''
I shrugged as I examined my nails. "I burned that bridge and everything made of that wood... by accident of course," I sneered at my last comment, remembering the smell of burnt wood and smoke. The fire. The flames as they rose higher. Beautiful view.
I heard many sighs. "Didn't you mean to tell us?"
"Actually, I did it. Elijah, you remember our conversation, he can't kill you I took care of that a long time ago.'' I smiled sweetly at him. "Anyway, since we're having such a lovely family conversation, Freya, how are you? What's it like to be the older sister of these idiots?''
She shook her head and smiled at me. ''Thank you.''
___
"Hey wait Cassandra!"
I ignored it and moved on. I told them not to call me that. A name that no longer means anything. To me it's just another name, they should move on too.
"Sister!"
I sighed angrily and turned to him. "That was a cheap shot, but I appreciate the creativity."
