"Howdy y'all," Shoupe says, making all three of you stand up. "Sup Shoupe," You says trying to sound as normal as possible. "You guys okay?" He asks as he walks over to you guys. "Yeah, we're uh, you know, just, um..." JB says patting JJ's back which JJ swats away, "We're good." JB says.
Shoupe then leans down, pulling something off of the Twinkie, "Tracker" He explains as the device beeps. JJ clenches his jaw looking annoyed, "Makes it a lot easier to keep an eye on you hoodlums." before any of you can respond Shoppe's radio buzzes, "All units, evidence team is en route to the abandoned U-Haul. over."
"Well, sounds like duty calls, so we uh, wouldn't want to hold you up." JJ says. "Now hold on," Shoupe says stopping you all, "We just found a U-Haul full of drugs out near 158. Y'all wouldn't happen to be involved in that, would you?" He asks, "You see that? Thats profiling." JJ says, "And we really don't appreciate it. Just cause we're Pogues you think we're drug dealers now?"
"We're not that desperate Shoupe." You say, ending JJ's dramatic monologue. "You've been too busy beating people up and breaking up parties." Shoupe says looking straight at JB, "I hate to break it to you kid. But ive got a warrant." Shoupe says making you all look at him confused. "What?" JB asks, "Topper's pressing charges." He explains. "Hold up," JJ says, and Shoupe grabs JB's arm. "Topper started it," You say recounting the fight. "It's true he started it," JJ agrees. "We're just being honest with you, Shoupe," John B adds as Shoupe directs him against the Twinkie, "put your hands up." he instructs. "I didn't even do anything." JB sighs.
"Shoupe, come on," JJ tries, anger in his voice, "Do you know what Topper did to John B?" You ask angrily. "Nope, but I know what your boy did." Shoupe says as he starts handcuffing JB, "He beat him, in front of the whole town, and kept beating him after he was down. Topper may be a douche, but you know better than that." He says taking JB to the cop car. "Shoupe, come on," You say, you and JJ following them, "Listen, he was messing with John B's girl. So, you would do the same." JJ tries to reason, "Listen Shoupe I get it. I get it, but I can't be locked up right now." JB tries. "You should've thought about that beforehand."
"We're seriously doing this again?" You ask, "Yeah, we are, cause your brother needs to realise that his actions have consequences." Shoupe answers making you roll your eyes. "I don't have time for this." JB complains as he gets into the back of the police car. JJ stand in front of Shoupe, "JJ come now," He reasons, "Listen, stay safe and stay outta trouble." He tells him, you stand beside the window where John B stood, "We'll figure out a plan, and we'll get down to South America and find dad, okay?" You ask, making John B nod, "That's a promise." JJ says.
You and JJ watch Shoupe drive off, JJ cursing, "Fuck!" his hands in his hair as he tries to think of solutions. "Okay, what if we--" He starts rambling. "JJ." You try, but he continues to stress himself out over a plan, "JJ!" You shout finally making him look at you, "What, Y/n?!" He asks shouting. "We can't do anything." You tell him truthfully, "There is nothing me or you could possibly do that would get John B out of jail, okay? So don't go losing your head over it." You tell him, he glares at you slightly. "So, you want us to do nothing about your brother being arrested?" He asks dumbfounded. "of course not!" You shout, "but realistically, J, what can we do?" You ask, making him start to give you suggestions but you cut him off, "that won't also wind us up in jail too," which makes him go silent. JJ sighs, "So, what do we do?" He asks, "First give me the keys," You say making him fish the Twinkie keys out of his pocket, throwing them to you, "Second, we meet up with the others." You tell him, making him nod, "They're more of the sensible planners anyways," JJ says and you agree.
