It was mid afternoon when the woman and the five visitors returned to the town. Not one of them had been injured and despite Ellenah's hatred for the beast, didn't cause them any trouble. Everyone was relieved to be back home again to say the least. Kris, Ellenah and Alex all still had the suits with them when they returned. By the time they reached the village, they all had started to feel a little sluggish. This time it wasn't them but the actual suits. Their power must have finally been running low. The yellow on the red line in the visors visions was near none existent. It was slightly appreciated for it allowed them to walk at a slower pace without trying.
At they're return, they encountered Anthieyah who was there waiting for them. With eager joy, she came running up to Kris and he swept her literally off her feet. Embracing each other's affection they kissed. Valerie looked away with a pain-ridden face.
"We're back," Arnold said surveying the crowd greeting their returned neighbors. "Guess we should spend the rest of the day resting. Then tomorrow continue on our long dull repair work," he told the others.
"I don't know about you, but I like it here," replied Kaitlyn. "I like earth and everything and I know I miss it, but in all honestly, I'm not sure if I want to leave. We would no longer have to worry about taxes or bills."
"Not to seem rude, but I'm going to go to Anthieyah's home and go put on some undergarments," replied Valerie and walked off in obvious frustration. It was obvious she was looking for an excuse to leave. The others looked at each other for a long moment. Wondering what had gotten her so upset and at the particular comment she made.
"Odd comment. Must be a home schooled thing," said Kaitlyn. "What about you Alex?" she asked turning her attention to him.
"I don't know, I rather like it here. Frankly with all these eligible and beautiful women and no men around to take them. I feel compelled to stay. It's like a paradise," he answered. "If you ignore a certain neighbor. Seems like the perfect place for a guy like me"
"So, for a pervert?" asked Kaitlyn.
"Are you saying that if we can't go home you're fine with that, or that if we can, you won't go back?" asked Arnold.
"I don't know, I really don't know. I'll have to wait till that time comes," Alex answered. "Don't you worry though, I'll still give my hundred and ten percent to get you out of here."
"I will agree that this is a paradise and it'd be hard to leave," replied Arnold. "As a married man though, my goals are set. I bet Antonette is worried sick. I used to call her every other day. I'm long overdue to check in."
"Hey, Alex. How the heck do I get out of this thing?" Ellenah asked as she walked over to them.
"There should be a trigger. Just press down on your palm with your two outer fingers, then turn your wrist," Alex answered demonstrating with his hand and his suit opened up and he climbed out. A moment later Ellenah did the same.
When he stepped on the ground, Alex staggered as his legs felt like jelly. Ellenah with her pegged leg nearly fell over and would have if Alex hadn't caught her.
"I guess being in those suits makes one's muscle go kind of sluggish," he said as he helped Ellenah regain her balance.
"You don't say," replied Ellenah uninterested. "Just help me from falling over till I can get my legs to work again," she snapped. "And I thought having a wooden leg in itself was annoying," she added as she attempted to walk a few steps, staggering the entire time.
Kaitlyn walked up to Kris.
"You can get out of your suit now too," she said. "I rather hope you do, it's bad enough I have to look up to you, but in that thing it's straining."
