The next day after the carnival was a Sunday. It was so that everyone could calm down and clean up anything if they needed to, also to savor the last fragments of the day before going back to hero training and school.
It was also fathers day.And you thought yourself as an idiot as you walked towards the school office. Late at night, you decided to write a card to Aizawa for father days. You were stupid. You played it off at the time as a joke, but reading it the next morning as you were walking was stupid. Yes, the only reason your his legal guardian is because everyone else in your family is dead, but you still felt inclined to show him that you were happy that at least someone wanted you.
You thought that he felt as if you were just agreeing with him since he brought it up kind of suddenly. So, you made him a card to show you were at least happy about it.You opened the office door, relief washing over your face as you that Aizawa wasn't here. You walked up to the sole person left in the office, Present Mic.
The man in question looked up from his computer as he heard the door open and close."L/n!?" He was confused on why a student would be at the school on a weekend. "What'd're you doing here?"
"Is Aizawa here?" You asked, even though it was quite obvious he wasn't.
"Nah, he's in a meeting with Nezu right now." Present Mic pushed himself out of his chair and it rolled along the floor. "Need something?"
"No, just-" You quickly placed down the card on his desk, leaving as soon as you did. "Just wondering."
You closed the door before Present Mic had the chance to speak, you were out of the classroom. The sun was setting for the end of the day since you had to work up the stupidity to leave and mildly embarrass yourself.
The sun passing through the windows danced along the halls you walked up, and you could feel the warmth of the sun as you walked outside, the cool air starting to mixed within it.You walked the pathway to the dorms, listening in silence to the birds and soft blows of the wind. The sun sets quick, but by the time you reached the door of the dorm, it was still up, the last effort of the sun still sweeping through the trees.
You skipped a few steps walking up the stairs and went to turn the handle of the door, but it wasn't moving. You jiggled at it for a moment, but then quickly realized it was locked. You sighed and knocked on the door, stepping back a little.
Then you heard it.
The rustle in the trees, the snap of the sticks on the ground and the quick rush back all from behind you.
You cautiously but quickly turned around, using your quirk to grab the hammer in the box that sat at the front of the dorm due to the class was still unpacking. You trudged towards the forest right out the doorstep and looked around. You were on the border of the trees, not stepping into the dark of the forest, but just looking around, seeing nothing move. You heard the dorm door open and you turned your back on the forest.
"Y/n?" It was Momo, and a face or two behind her, who opened the door. "Why are you over there?"
The sun had disappeared from the trees, leaving the area around you in a cool, dark scene.
"I thought I heard something." You shrugged, dropping the hammer to your side. "The stupid door was loc-"
You felt something grabbed your leg tightly and yank backwards. You yelp at the unexpectedness from it as you were dragged into the forest, falling flat on your face. You didn't see what Momo did as you were swallowed into the forest, but you didn't have time or the need to rely on her.
You turned yourself over from the ground first, letting your beck deal with the sticks and the sticks on the ground. Whatever was pulling you was strong. You extended your hand and forced your body off the ground and high enough in the air, untangling yourself from the mysterious grasp around your leg and using your quirk to free yourself. You latched onto the tree branch not so far from the ground.
