Hailey heard the second explosion a few minutes after Jake entered the building and became worried. She started running towards the building but a hand grabbed her and pulled her back. She turned around and Trevor was standing behind her. "Wait out side. If I find anyone, ill bring them out here and I trust you will watch them." Hailey nodded as Trevor sprinted towards the building, armed with a semi automatic rifle and full tactical gear. Hailey looked around and saw that everybody in the area had ran away from the area. She ran towards her car to grab her cell phone. She hopped in the front seat and looked around her dashboard for her cellphone. She found it, having slid onto the floor of her car. As she was about to open her car door, she saw a tall man, covered head to toe in black clothing with a black face mask. Hailey watched as the man walked calmly towards the building. She saw something In his hand, though she couldn't see what it was. She opened the door and jumped out of her car once she saw the man enter the building.

Trevor turned on the flashlight display on the top of his rifle as he sprinted up the stairs and burst through the door of the second floor. He shone his flashlight all over the room until he spotted black scarring and charred wood. He walked over cautiously and looked around. He spotted a huge puddle of blood leaking from behind a desk. His heart rate beat faster as he slowly approached. He took a deep breath as he peeked around the desk. There was an upturned box with broken bags sprawled across the floor. Trevor sighed with relief as he heard a soft groan. He whipped his head around and saw his Lieutenant laying on the ground on top of Atlas. Trevor rushed over and examined the two. Both appeared to be breathing. Jake had been knocked out and Atlas was heavily dazed. Trevor gently lifted Jake off of Atlas and set him gently next to her. He noticed that Jake was bleeding from a couple places on his back. He assumed that Jake had been hit with shrapnel, judging by the holes in his uniform. Trevor gently shook Atlas as they began to wake from their daze. Atlas opened their eyes slightly, squinting, and looked at Trevor. She took a second to process. "What happened?" She asked him. He shook his head, telling Atlas that he had no idea. Atlas sat up against the side of a desk. She looked at Jake and her eyes widened. Her eyes darted to Trevor. "Is he okay!?" She asked, panicked. Trevor nodded and Atlas breathed a sigh of relief. As they catch their breath, They hear a door open. Trevor immediately points his rifle towards the door. He see's someone wearing all black walk into the room. "Who are you?" He called out to them. They didn't respond. They just kept walking towards them. "If you don't identify yourself, I will shoot you." Trevor shouted to him. The man continued walking towards them. Trevor steadied his finger, and pulled the trigger. There was a dry click as the gun jammed. "Crap!" Trevor spat out as he dropped his rifle and reached for his holster. He didn't feel his pistol and he realized he left it in his car. He backed away from the man, looking around for anything he could use to fight. The man pointed his arm toward Trevor and he realized there was a gun clutched in his hand. Trevor closed his eyes and braced himself as he heard a bang.

Hailey heard the bang from inside the building and sprinted inside. She had no regard for her own safety at this moment. She ran up the stairs and reached an open door. She walked through and was met with darkness. She walked through the room until she felt she stepped in something wet. She looked down and couldn't tell what it was in the darkness. She looked around her feet and she saw the shape of a person, sprawled out on the floor, unmoving. She looked closer and realized they had a bullet wound through their chest. Her heartbeat quickened as she examined the face. They had a black face mask on so she assumed it was the man she saw walk in. Hailey looked around the room and saw Jake lying on the floor, breathing heavily with his gun pointed above where the man had fallen. He saw Hailey and his arm dropped to the floor. Hailey rushed over and saw Atlas sitting up against a desk, with Trevor on the floor, face pale. "What happened?" Hailey asked them, still shaking. Trevor and Atlas finally noticed her and they calmed themselves down. "We still don't entirely know." Trevor managed as he stood up and helped Atlas stand up. The three of them looked at Jake, panting heavily on the floor. Trevor lifted him up and carried Jake on his shoulders. They calmly made their way out of the building and Trevor gently set Jake down on an emergency blanket sprawled on the concrete. They all sat down and as they caught their breath, something hit Atlas. "Captain Trill!" She shouted. Trevor stood up quickly. "He was still in his office, wasn't he?" Atlas nodded. Trevor took Jake's gun and ran back into the building. He ran up the stairs and through the door again. He sprinted of Captain Trill's office. He slammed the door open, pistol at the ready. He looked around and didn't see their captain. He ran through the entire second floor, looking for any sign of him. He turned the corner into the evidence room, and he saw Captain Trill looking through a box. "Captain." Trevor announced himself, holstering his gun. His captain was startled but turned around to face him. "Detective. Your alright?" He asked. Trevor nodded. "What are you doing in here?" His Captain sighed. "I have a feeling this might be targeted. I'm looking for a case file." Trevor approached and looked at the box he was rifling through. "Wait, these are all cases that the Lieutenant worked last year." Trevor exclaimed, confused. Captain Trill nodded. "This might be related to the blood he keeps receiving."  Trevor got confused for a second. "Lieutenant Sterling said that the canister blew up after he found it. Then where did the first explosion come from?" Trevor inquired. Captain Trill paused. "I never thought of that." he hurried out of the evidence room and looked around the main room. He noticed one place was more charred and burnt than others. He walked over and looked on the ground. He saw the box Jake had received that day, upturned and empty. He couldn't see the blood anywhere. He looked around and spotted a puddle. He bent down and stuck his finger in it. It was burning hot. He shook his finger  and looked around. Nothing else was even warm anymore. His eye's opened wide as he realized a possibility. "DETECTIVE DALTON. GET OUT OF THE BUILDING!" He shouted with a booming, authoritative voice. Trevor bolted out of the evidence room and down the stairs along with Captain Trill. They sprinted out of the building, as Trevor asked "Captain, what's going on?" His Captain turned to him, face dark. "The blood Jake has been receiving, are bombs." He stated as there was a flash of white and the building behind them exploded.
