"so?" seungmin asked jisung. the two caught each other in a messy crowd, continuing to walk to try and find felix as well.

jisung and minho hadn't talked for a few days, jisung slightly avoiding him; minho hasn't texted or called either. minho stared at his phone, trying to find the courage to text jisung again, however. a simple 'hi' or even another 'accidental' sext just for a conversation starter.

"we're friends?" jisung leaned closer to seungmin as he whispered. seungmin choked on nothing as he heard in a teasing way.

"what's so funny?! " jisung slapped seungmins arm playfully.

"friends don't place their hands on you like that! oh my god— it's so obvious!"

the bell rings before jisung could argue with seungmin. he sighed in relief; he didn't know how to answer anything. he liked minhos company and he found him pretty but, it was simply platonic feelings. he went from dreading the english research project to befriending a boy who doesn't know how to check who he's messaging before he clicks send. what was there to feel when you didn't want to be friends in the first place?

jisung excused himself and parted ways with seungmin as they headed to their class. jisungs next period was english, wanting to get there before anyone else did. walking to the opposite side of the class while everyone else were already in their seats was too much, even thinking about it made jisung silently cry.

he opened the classroom door to only see the teacher and a few student, minho being one of them. jisung shared a glance at him before speed walking to his seat. he scrolled through his phone notifications as if he had something urgent to reply to. he saw the chair to the desk next to him move in his peripheral, making him close out his phone before he could get called out on faking his social life.

"hey," minho spoke, hesitantly. jisung leaned back in his chair, looking over at him.

"hi."

minhos body was fully facing jisung, his arm touching the back of the chair. he was slightly leaning forward to cover the distance the chair created between them.

"i missed you." minho shyly told him. jisung smiled softly in return.

jisungs face dropped once the realization hit. he smiled at the compliment but, he couldn't. minho vaguely admitted his feelings for him but he couldn't give him a reply back. he didn't want to lead minho on, or make him think he liked all this when he hasn't even figured out how to feel about him yet.

more students started to pile into the room, the class becoming chaotic and loud. minhos head looked around as the students made conversation and big gestures. jisung looked at his lap, shifting his body to mimic minhos pose on the chair. he wanted to ask minho something but couldn't find a way to get his attention. he couldn't just shout it out either— he hated to repeat himself if the other person didn't hear him.

jisung found the courage to reach his hand out and hold onto his shoulder for his attention. minho straighter himself up, his cheeks turning pink as jisungs heartbeat fought to get out of his chest.

jisung leaned closer to his face. their faces were next to each others, their cheeks being able to squish together. jisung began to whisper, "can we talk after school?"

minhos mind calmed down listening to jisung whisper tame words into his ear. jisung leaned backwards, the two splitting away from each other. another student approached them, standing close enough to convey that their seat was being occupied and they needed to sit. minho scurried to stand up, sending a nod to jisung before he parted.

jisung waited at a small table outside of the classrooms but still on the school campus. he texted minho near the end of the school day of a place to meet up at for their little talk. jisung wasn't nervous, surprisingly. he just had to figure out how he wanted to have this conversation with minho. it was difficult to articulate his feelings to get clarity and he knew he would mess it up someway or another.
