"How do I even begin?", Ara asked with a faint smile on her lips. She was DJ-ing at a radio station and she was now being interviewed for the audience. "This whole thing is a dream", she told the interviewer.
She nodded. "But, why? Many people online have been talking nonstop about you ever since you first joined Hybe. Isn't that kind of fame good for you, in your line of work?", she asked.
Ara hummed. 
"Well, it's not something that I have enjoyed much", she said and let out a scoff before forcefully turning it into somewhat of a laugh. "I have been very judged too, not only talked about".
"Does that have to do with the fact that you are Park Jimin's cousin?", Ara nodded.
She liked this interview. It felt raw; more than whatever other interview she could take part in. She wanted this, and has discussed all the topics she would touch upon, including the latest comeback. Hybe had used the fact that Ara wrote all of the songs as a marketing strategy, recording videos of her in the studio as if she was working on the tracks, the members singing onto the mic and more.
And the whole ordeal had paid off. 
"Yes. This industry isn't very welcoming of family members", she added awkwardly. She had never talked about this with anyone else than her boys. "People tend to assume that us, the family members that come after our relatives, we get into the industry because of our relationships to the famous people we are related to".
"Wasn't that the case with you?", the interviewer asked.
"Not really", Ara said before looking at her hands, the memory of her first days only lighting up her face and making her smile grow. "I did get an interview because of my oppa, but...", she trailed off. "I was scrutinized by everyone in the company. If they deemed me not good enough, or if they hadn't seen any potential in me... I wouldn't have made it through, even if Jimin had called all his contacts and pushed all his buttons", she replied.
"That is true. Companies these days only choose the best of the best", Ara decided to take the comment as a compliment. "Could you tell us about some fun stories about your days as a trainee, or the inspiration to some of the tracks for this comeback?"
Ara nodded, the memories turning her lips into a smile and her eyes gleaming with happiness.
"Sure, I have one or two of those", she giggled.
