Alex had his hand on the door handle, he looked at Elijah but he shook his head subtly.
"Get your hand off the fucking door handle." The man said harshly.
Alex took his hand away quickly putting it in his lap. He glanced at Elijah. 'What is happe-"
"Shut the fuck up." The man said, clicking the gun back.
Alex squeezed his eyes shut.
Elijah grabbed Alex's hand. "We're in a parking lot." Elijah said, looking around. "This car doesn't have a tint."
"Where's Denis?" The man asked.
"Who?" Elijah asked looking in the mirror.
"Don't play stupid, the guy you kidnapped." The man snapped. "Where is he?"
"Let the other guy get out and I'll tell you." Elijah said.
"No, that's not how this works." The man said. "If you don't tell me I will kill him."
Elijah turned around. "Go ahead."
"What?!" Alex exclaimed.
"Shut the fuck up!" The man exclaimed. He swallowed. "I'm fucking serious."
"I bet you are." Elijah replied.
"Who is he to you?" The man asked.
Elijah looked at Alex. "Uhm.." He moved his hand away and grabbed the steering wheel. "He's my friend."
"Just a friend?" The man asked. "That doesn't explain your everyday, all day visits to him."
Elijah squeezed the wheel. "What do you want exactly."
"I need Denis." The man replied. "Alive."
"That might be a little difficult." Elijah mumbled. "Why are we doing this in a parking lot?"
"Don't fuck with me. Where is he?"
Elijah looked at Alex who looked out the window. He glanced behind him at the man.
The man looked between Elijah and Alex. He huffed, frustrated. "If he leaves, you have to drive me down there and walk me in yourself." The man said, switching the gun from Alex's headrest to Elijahs. "That's the only way I'll let him leave."
Elijah nodded. "Sure."He turned to Alex. "Go ahead."
Alex looked at Elijah and handed him his keys. He looked at the man and grabbed the door handle about to get out.
"Leave your phone here," The man said, before he opened the door. "On the front seat."
Alex took his phone out of his pocket and placed it on the seat. He got out of the car and closed the door.
Elijah stared at Alex. His stomach turned. He was super nervous for some reason.
The man got up in the front seat. He pointed his gun to the side of Elijah. "Drive."
Elijah put the keys in the ignition and pulled out of the parking lot slowly. He kept looking back at Alex. His heart was beating out of his chest.
"Are you Sub?" Elijah asked, taking a deep breath.
The man's eyes lit up and he looked at Elijah. He looked him up and down. "Is Denis alive?"
"So you are." Elijah squeezed the steering wheel. "He talked about you. He said, you wouldn't have mercy on me if the roles were reversed." He looked over at Sub. "Apparently he was lying."
"Is he alive or not?"
Elijah tapped the steering wheel. "I'm going to have to kill him."
"Is he alive," Sub said, pressing the gun deeper into his side. "Or not."
"Yeah he's alive." Elijah said, sitting up straight. "For now."
"If you touch him, I will strangle your friend and leave his body on your doorstep."
Elijah squeezed the handle. "If you make another threat against him, I will do some seriously inconsiderate things, I promised I wouldn't do in his car."
"Are you trying to go after his girlfriend too?" Sub asked.
Elijah pursed his lips.
"Answer the question." Sub jabbed him.
"Jesus christ." Elijah looked at Sub. "Would you quit shoving, and jabbing that into my side."
"Are you?" Sub said pinching Elijah.
Elijah closed his eyes. "It's in my job. So yes, I will have to kill both of them." Elijah squeezed the wheel harder, making his knuckles turn white.
"No you won't." Sub replied, shaking his head and smiling.
"Whether or not you bust him out and keep his girlfriend under a watch I will find them and kill them both." Elijah said quietly.
"You watch your moth-"
"Okay." Elijah groaned. He turned quickly into an empty roadway. He pressed the gas pedal hard, shooting off down the road.
Sub tumbled into Elijah and Elijah immediately reached for Subs' gun. He kept one hand on the wheel as he wrestled for the gun.
Elijah took another sharp turn as Sub started to take control of handling the gun. Sub almost fell into the backseat letting Elijah almost grab the gun. Sub still had his finger on the gun. Elijah felt the gun jolt back and something hit his side.
He almost let go of the gun as a sudden pain rippled across his side. He went quiet and the car slowed down. Sub got back up in his seat and lunged at Elijah. Elijah yanked the gun and hit the side subs head with it.
Sub groaned but still was trying to grab Elijah. Elijah hit the gas pedal and swung the gun again at subs head, hitting him harder. Elijah for the final time hit sub again and Sub slowly slumped over.
Elijah hit the breaks. He took a deep breath. He dropped the gun near his feet and grabbed his side and looked around quickly for a napkin or anything to stop his blood from dribbling onto Alex's seat.
He sighed. His side burned, he was worried about Alex, and Denis's friend was unconscious in the car he doesn't own.
He tapped the steering wheel nervously. His whole body was buzzing and aching. He couldn't think straight, and he was sweating.
He took a second and sank back into his seat. In the rear view mirror he could hear a car coming down the road. He quickly started the car back up and kept driving down the road.
