(A/N) Introducing Lady Dorma who will be playing the Queen of Talokan. She is wrote a little different in the comics but here I am presenting her as the Queen of Talokan. She will be featured in the start of the next chapter. Okay! Enjoy chapter 13!
My heart beats fast in my chest as I see Okoye's face revealed from the mask. She stands at the edge of the shores of the beach with her hands placed on her hips. I can not believe Okoye is here. Has she come to rescue me? I stay quiet as I hid behind the pine tree. I'm so shocked to see her here. She must be here looking for me.
I observe the beautiful blue suit she wears. The midnight angels attire. Wow, it suits her so well. She was right about it looking a little on the ugly side but it was such a sight to see her in full gear.
I watch her as she examines the ocean before her then clicks something on her arm. She suddenly starts talking softly into what looks like a virtual device. "Princess Shrui, I am here at the last sighting of him. Some villagers say they saw him dive into the ocean here. Other than that I have no clue where to start looking for her.."
Princess Shuri? Was Okoye assigned to recue me?
I feel relief rise in me when I hear her speak. She is here in search of me. What's even better is Princess Shuri must have been alerted.. "I will update you if I come in contact with her. Wish me well." I hear Okoye say before ending the call.
I am so desperate to reveal myself to Okoye. I am just a bit scared of how she might react to my true identity. Now, that I've learned so much about my identity I was kind of torn on where I belong. Yet again, Namor was ready to attack again and I didn't want that to fall through. Maybe, I should step forward. At least to let them know I was alive and ok.
I slowly stand up and take a slow step forward. I am now in front of the pine tree. Okoyes back is still to me and I close my eyes. I do the very thing she taught me back in Wakanda whenever I needed help in battle or was lost.
Whistle.
I roll my tongue and do the whistle sound letting it pierce through the air, and she quickly turns around with a shocked expression. As soon as she locks eyes on me she covers her mouth." ayinakum asha?" She says her eyes wide and I blink my eyes with tears.
"Hello Okoye." I say and she walks up to me. "Oh my gosh! Asha, I-was so worried- you are- you are here?" She says as she now stands in front of me.
I nod as tears fall down my face. "Yes,I am okay." I say and before I could say another word she embraces me in for a hug. "I cannot believe this. How- how are you outside the ocean? " She asks as she lets go of the hug and places her hands on my shoulder.
"I swam my way through and found a way out." I say and she glances around the area. " Are you okay? did they hurt you?" She asks in a rush and I take her hands. "Okoye no I am fine. Please trust me." I say and she examines my face.
