Silence engulfed the whole mansion as the two stared at each other, "is it that you were not taught by your parents the responsibility of a wife, or are you being specifically disrespectful to me?" his mother-in-law asked him.
" Mother I told sister-in-law that I was busy " his mother in law's glare  
deepened. " What was so important that you had to leave your duties for the day?" she asked making Abhi silent.
He was not going to answer the question at all, the answer would make him seem deranged and that was not the image he was planning to leave in his in laws place. 
" I apologise I'll get started on the meal right away," he said about to walk away. " You are not dining with us today " Abhi looked at his mother-in-law deeply then walked away. Entering the kitchen he cooked lunch for the family with the help of miss Luna.
When he was done he set the table and went to his room, he sat on his bed and got lost deeply in his thoughts. 
He closed his eyes and a vision of his sister talking to someone nervously passed by but he could not hear what was being said. 
He wrinkled his brow and frowned he could not catch the appearance of the person his sister was talking to and this frustrated him.
So the whole day he stayed in his room not moving an inch from the bed, his thoughts all on his sister and the person she was talking to.
Aayush came a bit later than usual and found the family having supper happily talking to each other but he frowned when he could not see his little wife. 
" Evening son come and sit down the food prepared today is delicious," his mother said smiling softly at him. He looked at her then at the others," where is my wife?" he asked making everyone freeze, others looked spooked, some looked like they just realised that someone was missing among them.
His mother just looked relaxed "She's being punished for her disobedience  " this made Aayush's eyes colder, he just turned and was about to walk away when his mother called out to him.
"Are you not eating son?" she asked looking at his back. "Since my wife can't eat in this house neither will I " with that he walked away making his mother grit her teeth angrily.
"Look I told you that witch was going to turn him against us" she told her husband who looked equally as upset by Aayush's behavior. Their grandma who was the wisest in the family looked at everyone and then called out to miss Luna. 
" Please bring my supper to my room" with that she also walked away, " look now mother is upset I'm telling you that girl is going to tear our family apart" Mr Patel seemed to find his wife's words reasonable.
"I'll talk to Aayush, for now, let's finish our supper " Aayush's two brothers looked worried which was in contrast to their wives who looked ignorant.
Aayush entered his room and found his dazed wife, he walked up to his wife and spoke. "Are you alright?" his voice startled Abhi who just noticed the man's presence. "I'm alright" he smiled faintly but it did not reach his eyes, Aayush noticed this.
"Are you hungry?" he asked sitting down next to Abhi who turned to look at him, "I'm" he replied making Aayush nod, the man took his phone and ordered food from a famous five-star restaurant. 
The food would take a while so he went to freshen up and after Abhi did the same. " How was work?" Abhi asked to break the silence between them, "the same exhausting" Abhi smiled at that, " even you get tired mr workaholic?" he teased.
" Of cause I get tired do you not believe it?" his eyes now filled with warmth, "I do believe it after all if you did not I'd suspect I'm married to a machine" the two talked for a while until their food was delivered, Aayush got a notification on his phone and went to get the food, he sat up a table on the balcony.
It looked quite romantic with the moon shining on them, making them unable to take their eyes off each other. 
Aayush made Abhi laugh which made Abhi forget about his sister for a while, he did not expect such a cold-looking man to have a sense of humor. This quality of Aayush made his heart beat a little faster.
While the two were getting to know each other a bit more Zahira was standing in front of a man with a miffed look on her face. 
"How could you make me do this?" the man looked at Zahira, "you had a choice"  with that she kept quiet.
