Zoey shrugged Olivia off her back and panted. Stayed close to her to make sure she was alright.
"Oh my gosh. Thank you." Olivia huffed, covering her lower ribcage with her arm.
"You okay Liv-- Evanesce?" She prayed that she wouldn't hear her slip up.
"Wait... how do you know my nickna-- the card... my cat. Do you know my cat?!"
Oh, snap. Yep. I guess she didn't miss the slip-up. Can't really lie now can I?
"Close. But not quite." Zoey responded, lashing her tail behind her.
"Wait... you're a shapeshifter... no no no. No. You're not--"
Zoey sighed and let herself shift into her Maine coon form, the form that was Olivia's cat; Cola.
"Meow." She sighed half-heartedly.
"Ohhh myyyy gosh. Oh--"
"Fight now, panic later alright?" She meowed.
Olivia gave a short nod, her eyes wide with shock. She took a few short, shallow breaths. Opened a portal. Stepped forward to go through it.
Zoey shifted back into a tiger, nudged Olivia to the side to stop her from going into the portal. She looked up at her and puffed air through her nose.
"Teleport me up to Total Chaos. I can cause some damage."
Olivia raise an eyebrow. Nodded for her to step through.
Zoey swiped one massive paw against the ground and bolted into the groaning swirling mass that was the land of the portal. For a moment she was adrift in a sea of blue and purple clouds, electricity coursing through every fibre of her being. From her nose to the pads of her toes, and the ends of her whiskersl. Then a heartbeat later the world opened up in front of her. She was right behind Total Chaos.
She leaped forward and swung her arms around his neck so her claws could sink into his chest. She used her hind claws to grapple onto his calf muscles and sent them as deep as they'd go. Total Chaos howled and writhed in pain. Tossed his head up to the sky. A wall of bricks from the rubble pile in the sky came down and slammed into the already injured Ice Breaker. No no no. Please no.
A pool of crimson leeched out from under the bricks. Three fingers were all that was visible, sticking up from a gap in the pile. Crystals of ice formed in the air around those fingers as Zoey sent her claws raking down Total Chaos's legs over and over, shredding the meat into ribbons. He shrieked in terror, and the rubble pile swung back and forth in the sky.
"Everyone get clear!" She yowled out.
A long spear of clear, fragile ice shot from the ground and went straight into the soft part of Total Chaos's stomach. Blood fell in rivulets down to the sidewalk below. He flew backward and hovered over the cage he'd trapped Rhinestone Cowgirl in. Rivers of red fell down into the cage, landing on Rhinestone Cowgirl's white cowgirl hat. She yelled some phrases of indignance.
The rubble in the sky all dropped and crashed into the crater that was her bar and meeting room. Further burying Ice Breaker alive, if she was alive. Please be alive.
Total Chaos fell limp and tumbled onto the sidewalk with a hard thud. Zoey leaped off and landed on all fours, swiped some blood off her paws, and looked up at Deadcode.
"Take your friend and leave now, or," She walked over to the dying heap that was Total Chaos, unsheathed all the claws from her left front paw and dug the very tips into his neck. Drew faint lines across the skin, not deep enough to bleed but deep enough to appear red. "I'll provide a mercy killing right here right now." She drew her tongue over her lips like she was starving and all he was to her was a slab of meat.
