*Shark's Pov*

I haven't seen Y/n since the whole number situation... they haven't been in school, but they're not in the hospital anymore... Rio and I checked yesterday. Then we went to their house and still nothing. Do they think I'm mad at them? I hope not. It wasn't their fault...

"Penny for your thoughts?" Rio asked me as we were walking home. My motorcycle was still getting fixed.

"Hm? It's nothing," I sighed.

"Is it Y/n? I'm worried too. According to Tori, Yuma and the others haven't heard from them either. Yuma even asked Kite and he hasn't heard anything either," Rio said.

"Not even Kite?" I asked shocked.

"No, they won't answer any texts or calls, and you saw yesterday, they didn't even answer their door," Rio sighed.

"There's something else... right before the number made us crash... Y/n said something," I said.

"Huh? What was it?" Rio pressed.

"You don't know what I did to Marnie," I sighed," or something like that."

"Marnie? Who is that?" Rio asked.

"I'm not sure," I said," Y/n never mentioned them before."

"I bet I know someone who might know," Rio said.

"Yeah, he might," I said already knowing who she was referring to.

---

"Marnie? The name doesn't sound familiar," Kite said.

"So you don't know either," Rio sighed.

"No, but then again Y/n doesn't remember much from their past," Kite said.

"Right I remember them mentioning it," Rio agreed," do you know what caused their memory loss?"

"No, they never said," Kite sighed.

"I have a theory," I now butted in.

"Go on," Rio said.

"When we were at the bottom of Heartland tower fighting all those litter bots Y/n said something to Heartland... it was something along the lines of their parents didn't want them and sent them here? It was something like that and we know that Y/n doesn't know how to control their powers so what if their parents sent them here because they had no control and left Y/n to fend for themselves... I know I would want to forget that," I said.

"Huh!? So you think it's self inflicted?!" Rio exclaimed.

"It's just a theory, but it would make sense," I sighed.

"It would make sense, and when Y/n had no control of their powers they did something bad... their parents viewed it as a threat," Kite agreed," and their powers are associated with those memories so that's why they always panic."

"That's so sad," Rio cried. "We should go knock on their door until they answer, then let them know we love them!"

"Y/n isn't there," Kite said.

"Wha-!" Rio was too stunned to speak.

"They have a spare key, I checked and they weren't there," Kite said," Arlo was gone too."

"You're now just saying something?" Rio asked.

"I didn't want to cause panic among the others," Kite said.

"Where do you think they went?" I asked.

"I'm not sure, but I trust Y/n knows what they're doing," Kite said. I could see the worried look in his eyes," If we chase after them it may cause more panic, we'll just have to wait for them to come home."
