 TUESDAY, 01:02

Y/N's POV

"So... the bad guys escaped?" Jihyo raised an eyebrow, her expression analyzing the news that had just been delivered to her.

After the failed robbery attempt, we walked heavily back to the house, our spirits utterly squashed. The weight of our failure hung heavily over us, manifesting in our slumped shoulders and downcast eyes.

As soon as we crossed the door, it was clear that everyone had been eagerly awaiting our return, their faces alight with anticipation. However, their excitement quickly dissipated when we recounted the mission's events.

It didn't take long for the mission alarm to blare once more, summoning us to the meeting room where Fury's hologram already awaited us.

Which brings us to this moment.

"Yes, but we prevented the money from being stolen, isn't that good?" Chaeyoung's voice wavered slightly as she spoke, her nervousness palpable.

Our first mission, and we had fallen short of expectations. It was obvious that congratulations were not in order. Chaeyoung's subconscious seemed to be bracing for the reprimand that might follow.

The man with his signature black patch, crossed his arms over his chest.

"Well, you guys are just beginners and even though you prevented the robbery and the bad guys escaped--" He suddenly paused, pursing his lips in thought.

"Didn't you say you managed to put a GPS on them?" Fury's hologram focused intently on us.

"Yeah, but it seems they found out. I can't locate the tracker anymore, although I still have the last location where it was active. Hopefully, that'll give us a lead," Dahyun explained, her eyes glued to her computer screen. Her fingers danced across the keyboard with an ease that left Sana and me, sitting beside her, gaping in surprise at her tech skills.

Fury clasped his hands together, drawing our attention back to him.

We knew that the only thing left to do was wait. After all, it was just a simple robbery, and it was only our first mission. There was no need to be overly harsh on ourselves. Clearly, we just needed a bit more practice.

"Well, good job. The money is intact, and the guards are safe." Fury's tone was serious, but I could see a hint of acknowledgment in his eyes, like a small glimmer of approval.

He crossed his arms again, his gaze sweeping over us like a stern but somewhat proud teacher.

"You should go to sleep. Tomorrow, some of you have classes--" His deep voice cut off as he noticed one of us raising a hand.

He nodded once, giving the girl permission to speak.

"I think they could be dangerous..." Tzuyu mumbled, her voice just loud enough for the rest of us to hear.

We all turned to look at her, surprised by the unusual tone in her voice and the complicated expression on her usually unbothered face.

"Why do you say that?" Fury asked, tilting his head slightly, genuinely curious.
