Walking was a pain in our asses but we were getting to explore which was good for us but not so much for our bodies but did we care no not really.
" So by the way this forest looks it isn't the one you live in." Sarah said as we climbed over a log.
" So what are you saying that we teleported to a new planet or something?" Lucas asked light-heartedly as we all laughed at the joke.
" No I'm not but I am saying that this is somewhere new but it's way cooler than the other forest so I'm cool with it." Sarah said as she continued to walk still looking around her.
To be honest I agreed with Sarah every turn we did we saw something new and everytime we saw something new it was more beautiful than the last thing we saw.
Climbing was a pain though for all of us our plan was to stop at a clearing if we ever found one but if we didn't find one we would just settle down by water and that would be the end of it.
" Ok, ok I need to rest we've been walking for ages and my legs hurt." Lucas said as he sat down on a log next to me as Sarah came to a stop.
" Yeah I think we can stop here because it's an actual clearing." Sarah said as me and Lucas looked up to see that we were in a perfect clearing the trees circling us in a perfect circle.
" Now this is perfect." I stated as we all sat down on the log resting our legs.
" Don't you think this is a little weird?" Lucas asked as me and Sarah looked at him confused.
" What do you mean?" Sarah asked with confusion.
" Other than the bushes moving and the water moving you can't hear anything else which is usually a bad sign." Lucas informed as we all listened to the things around us to realize he was right.
We continued to listen to our surroundings until we heard the leafs shuffle making us all get up off the log.
" Get out your weapons, now." Sarah said as she pulled out her knife from her pocket and we did the same thing as we heard it circle us.
What ever this was wanted something.
Until we saw them.
