I hugged her and said, "Since when did my little sister become so protective of me! I love you Kriti!"

"I love you more! Infact I always loved you more. You remember how you would not let me enter your room and kick me out always! I just wanted to spend time with you but all you would care about is your privacy." She accused me.

"I am sorry! I am so sorry Kriii!! But, trust me I will be a good sister now!" I said.

After the party everyone started leaving. But Mr. Karthik Singhania was here sitting with Kriti and I, in our living room while his brother was inside talking with my father.

When every one started leaving, Dad called and took him inside saying he wants to talk to him about something. They are inside since half an hour and god knows what they are talking about. But here I am feeling like the third wheel in their "glaring" contest. I would have left, but Ayan would be dropping me home and Dad had especially asked me to give Karthik company.

"Karthik," I finally said not being able to see this awkward tension between my sister and the love of her life. "Are you still mad at each because of me?" I asked him.

"No Di. It's nothing like that. And don't let this idiot spoil your mood!" Kriti told me.

"I asked him, Kriti!" I told my sister.

"No it's nothing like that. But that doesn't mean I have forgiven you for breaking my brother's heart." He said.

"He has." I told him.

"Because he loves you. Of course you would feed him any lie and he will trust you!" He accused.

"Shut up Karthik! My sister is not a lier!" Kriti defended me.

"Don't interfere Kriti!" I warned my sister and then looked at Karthik, "So, you don't forgive me?" I asked him.

"No, I don't." He said.

"Why do you think I need your forgiveness?" I asked him. This took him by surprise and his confidence wavered.

"Because...because..."

"Yes? Because?"

He didn't answer. Of course because he has none. He doesn't matter and his forgiveness either.

"Tell me how much do you know me?" I asked him another question since he was not going to answer my previous question.

"Enough!" He replied.

"Really?"

"Yes. From whatever I have heard about you, it is enough to know that you will break his heart again." He said.

"First of all there's no again. Because we are not together. Secondly, how do you know this "enough" about me?"

"Kavya has told me everything!"

I couldn't control my laugh! I laughed for a good one minute then said, "I should have known."

After some time I asked him, "So, you think your brother who has spent the most time among all of you siblings, doesn't know me enough to make a sound decision, but you both siblings having not spent a weekend with me, know me enough to predict that I am a heartbreaker. Wow."

"I am worried about my brother." He said honestly.

"Then don't. He is big enough to handle himself. Focus on yourself because I am warning you. If there is nothing in your heart for my sister, then stay away from her." I warned him.

"I can say the same to you." He said.

That caught me off gaurd. "If there is nothing in your heart for my brother then stay away from him." He said.
