Rise and grind gamer. That's a life code for a selected few.

Work hard, play hard another saying that's been around for ages. Some people however take these a little too literally.

After interviewing two Hololive EN members Y/n had a drink at David's coffee shop. When he left he went home but was unable to sleep. Most likely due to anxiety about how others are going to perceive the video.

Eventually, he just gave up on sleep and instead played video games all night. Varying from Apex, Stardew Valley, GTA, and some Pokémon games.

He was unaware that it was even morning until the sunlight slithered its way in from the blinds.

Y/n: I got zero sleep. And I'm still nervous about the video. What if when I get there I get ganged up on by some angry fans?

This is a valid concern. No matter how many security guards there are they'll still be outnumbered by fans. His safety is therefore not guaranteed.

Y/n: Maybe I should call in sick?

His phone was ringing. Looking at the screen he saw that it was his boss.

Y/n: What could he want to tell me that he can't do on text?

Picking up the device he answered the call.

Arthur: I got some important news that you'd want to hear. After today they're moving the convention to a larger city for the remaining days.

Y/n: Ok so in other words today's the last day I need to attend.

Arthur: To keep it simple, yes. But you're going to have to give a speech.

Y/n: Why can't the mayor or someone on the city board do it?

Arthur: They all went on a group vacation to Spain.

Y/n: Uh.

Arthur: Our sister city is in Spain so they went for relaxation and political reasons.

Y/n: And now I have to do a speech because they left at the wrong time. Pain.

Arthur: I've already told someone to write a speech for you. You'll just need to read it.

Y/n: Sounds easy enough.

Arthur: See you later.

The phone call ended. Y/n was no longer worried about the interview now. Instead, he was thinking about giving a speech.

He got ready a left his house just like he has done plenty of times before. The drive was much worse than the past few days. Probably because today was the last day for the event.

Entering the building he walked into the room that was for staff and the entertainers.

Luckily there was no one in there at the moment. So he could sit down in silence with his thoughts.

Amelia: You looked stressed. Want something to ease the tension?

Y/n: What would ease my tension?

Amelia: My special concoction. Brewed by the best and most experienced chemist in the world.

Y/n: No thanks. It sounds like you're trying to give me drugs. And Carey the Cocaine Cat always said to say no to drugs.

Amelia: It's too late I already injected it into you while you weren't looking.

Y/n: "Welp I'm screwed if they ask me to take a drug test."

Amelia: Relax you'll be fine now. Just get whatever you were worrying about done before my serum wears off.

Y/n: I doubt whatever you gave me is going to help. But you're right I need to just get it out of the way before I stress too much about it.

Amelia: Yeah, take whatever I said and make it fit your situation better.

With a newfound burning desire to get this over with he walked out of the room. Near the stage, he saw the radio staff just sitting around doing nothing.

Y/n: Can I give the speech now?

Staff: Sure, it's not like we had a specific time slot. Everyone is so busy trying to meet their idols to care about someone from our city giving a speech.

The staff member handed the microphone and paper to Y/n and he now walks onto the stage.

Y/n: Welcome one and all to the final day of this convention in our usually quiet town. We hope all of you have enjoyed your time here and come visit again. If you need a change of pace from the hustle and bustle of the big city this is the place for you. If you need somewhere where people live more peacefully with other species such as on, ghosts, zombies, dragons, and whatever else this is the place.

Y/n: We could care less what goes on in other places, all that's important is enjoying each day with a smile and a hot cup of coffee. Sponsored by David's Coffee shop.

David: Fuck Starbucks and Tim Hortons. Shop at a local businesses.

Y/n: Listen to a station that doesn't just play one but many types of music. We ain't no one trick pony. Listen to the Local Awesome Radio Station.

Y/n: Many places are ashamed of their past but we aren't. We even have a museum to remind us of our roots. A mercenary base constructed during the War Of Beliefs now turned into a close community.

Y/n: In Lunar Falls, we live each day our way.

....

A/n: This will be the last vtuber story I write for a while...or maybe forever. I feel like I've exhausted this topic. But I'm proud of myself for finishing it. Last year I was going to end it in chapter sixteen but scrapped it. Maybe I just wanted to continue until I added all of Hololive gen 1 and Nijisanji waves 1 and 2. This was my most ambitious project and I probably attempted to do more things than I should have had. Still, I'm more proud of this book than the first vtuber book I wrote, it's less cringe in my eyes. Thanks for reading this story and good luck to current and future vtuber writers.
