Nirmala walked into the tree. "Ananda, Sahasi?" She asked. Ananda and Sahasi walked into the light. "Yes Nirmala?" Ananda asked.

"The father to Rani's cubs is here," Nirmala replied. "Oh let's go meet him," Ananda smiled. "Wait," Nirmala stopped them, "He's light furred."

Sahasi growled, "Just like the Prideland lions." "He said he was a rogue, but I could swear there was a hint of the Pridelands on him," Nirmala explained.

"Let's look at him ourselves," Sahasi said. They ran out to Nirmala's den.

Rani and Kion cuddled together, with Raja and Sawa in Rani's arms. Rani licked Kion's cheek.

"Ahem?" Rani and Kion looked at the entrance. "MOM! DAD!" Rani shouted. Sahasi and Ananda walked in.

"We heard the father of your cubs is here. It wouldn't happen to be him would it?" Sahasi growled at Kion.

"Actually it is," Rani replied. Kion stood up. "Hello," He smiled. Sahasi and Ananda walked around him, looking him up and down.

"You look like Simba," Sahasi growled. "And there's a hint of Pridelands scent on you," Ananda replied. Kion gulped. He hadn't masked his scent that well.

Ananda looked at Kion. "Give us the truth. Are you a Pridelander." Kion looked at Rani. Rani shook her head.

"I can tell when someone lies, tell the truth, or you will have a slow and miserable death," Sahasi growled. Kion sighed, "Yes, I'm from the Pridelands. I'm and the son of Simba and Nala."

Sahasi roared with rage. "RANI! HOW COULD YOU LET HIM GET YOU PREGNANT!" Rani pinned her ears back in fear. Kion stood infront of Rani.

"Don't yell at her!" Kion growled. "Alright fine. LEAVE! THIS IS YOUR ONLY WARNING!" Sahasi snarled.

"No!" Rani cried. "He's from another pride. He can't be here," Ananda growled. Kion turned to Rani and his cubs.

Kion licked Raja and Sawa on the head. Then he turned to Rani and kissed her. He whispered in her ear, "Know that I still love you."

Rani licked his cheek. Before she could reply, Sahasi roared, "LEAVE!" Kion ran out, back to the Pridelands.

Sahasi and Ananda turned to Rani. "These cubs are half-prides, you need to kill them," Ananda growled.

Rani wrapped around her cubs defensively, "No!" "You will kill them," Sahasi growled. "They better be gone by the end of the day, or we will kill them ourselves," Ananda growled. They walked out. Rani cried.

Rani didn't know what to do. She couldn't kill her cubs, and she wouldn't let her parents kill her cubs. Rani knew what to do. She grabbed Raja and Sawa, and ran to the border.

Kion had already passed the border in the Pridelands. He didn't realize Rani was running after him.

Rani saw Kion pass the border. "Alright, I will have to wait until he comes back," Rani layed down. Raja and Sawa were old enough, they didn't need to nurse.

Rani fell asleep, wrapped around Raja and Sawa.

Kion went back to the Pridelands. Simba put him on border patrol.

Kion walked the borders. He got Rani's scent. "Rani?" Kion asked. He went to the border. He saw Rani sleeping.

"Rani!" Kion shouted. Rani woke up. "What are you doing here?" Kion asked. Rani sighed.

"Kion, my parents said I had to kill Raja and Sawa because they are half-prides. But I can't. I love them to much. So I decided to give them to you. They don't need to nurse anymore, so you don't need to worry about that," Rani explained.

Kion's eyes widened. "Please Kion," Rani begged. "Of course I'll take care of them, but why can't you come too?" Kion asked.

"You saw what my parents did, yours would probably do the same, even if you don't think they would," Rani stated.

Kion sighed. He knew it was true. But at least he could see his cubs, and they would grow up to know who he was.

"Wait, but won't Raja and Sawa not know who you are?" Kion asked. "I gave birth to them, and fed them, and slept by them. They will remember me," Rani replied.

Kion kissed Rani, "I will keep them safe." "Thank you Kion," Rani nuzzled him. Kion walked away with Raja and Sawa.

Rani went back to the tree, sad. But smiled lightly. She had saved her cubs from death, let them grow up to know who their father was, and let Kion be with them.

Rani would have loved to be with Kion, but couldn't be because she had no idea what his parents would do to her.
