LILYANNA
The morning and afternoon melted together in an unusual paste of time; without us doing much of anything. Night time came and all movement was on auto pilot. I wasn't sure if it was shock or sorrow but we remained muted. My comrade, an infamous chatterbox, just went about cooking...quietly.
With limited options on dinning, we roasted the rest of the rabbits I caught last night and feasted till our bellies were full... Having to break the ice was never my strong suit, but the moment called for something...
So...we're basically rogues now? The silence was just getting strange now.
I know right...I was thinking the same thing... that chuckle dried up the rest of my humour.
Rogue...The thought sent icicles to my stomach...
Before too long, they all turn feral. Their eyes plunge deep red and they lose most, if not all their humanity. The transformation starts after 72 days roughly. We would probably last longer than that but it was still a bone chilling idea...
Well at least we won't turn feral before we get out of here...I can't imagine being stuck out here for that long! I need to eat more than rabbits.
The night dragged on with intermittent bursts of forced conversation. Soon we fell into a bunny induced sleep and my dreams were filled with white cotton tails and purple hills.

The sound of zips and upheaval brought me to consciousness. My eyes fluttered open to the assaulting morning sun. I spotted my sister in a frenzy, packing up our mini-camp. We had only been out here for the last 2 nights, yet she seemed to be in a hurry to leave.
Ready to leave the outdoors already? Amusement heavy in my tone.
You and I both know that's not it! The look of seriousness in her eyes, sent instant unease through my system. He is looking for us Lee. I can feel his determination to find us. It's faint but...Still. I'm worried... I immediately checked my fun at the door. That face said it all. A sharp nod and slew of thrown covers had me helping her with the rest of the packing.
We got to it and began trekking out of the forest. We needed to find a way out of this nowhere, our supplies wouldn't last forever. It was better to be prepared for the worst.
Disguises were also something useful to consider. Our identities were not widely known but with how dramatic things have turned out, we couldn't be too careful...
My mind wondered around as the midday sun began beating down ruthlessly. Many hours had passed in our failed attempt to hitch a ride on the side of the road...I was mulling over what the moon goddess had said.
Sometimes it's good to head Out-
Aha! Voetsek! What a distrusting country we live in! Gala yell out.
Her annoyed voice had brought me out of my head. She was flipping off a red Mazda that had just passed us. The laughter was automatic. Imagine that. No one wanted to pick up, two dirty girls, with dried mud on their boots. But she was right. Our country was incredibly distrusting. Both humans and us.
I know...But come on dude, we look like shit... I shrugged. No use getting upset by something we couldn't control. To some degree, it had to be a determining factor to our lack of success, apart from the mistrust in our country.
