[Name] rubbed the corners of her tired eyes and sigh. She sat on one of the chairs, Grim sat on the armrest of the chair, and Ace sat on the couch across from her. The front room looked surprisingly nice considering she had spent hours upon hours to cleaning the damn place. She had cleaned the bathrooms, kitchen, front room, and one bedroom. Their bedroom. All the others she would need to get funds to fix. "So let me get this straight. After you went back to your dorm, you were feeling tired and hungry but you missed dinner. So you went to the kitchen, to the fridge, found tarts-that clearly weren't yours- and ate some. You got caught by your Dorm Leader/Housewarden/Prefect/whatever you call them and were collared as punishment. You, furthermore, are not allowed back into your dorm so you came here. Correct?"
"More or less," Ace said. Grim and [Name] looked at each other. 'Did we seriously get woken up for this?' '*sigh* Unfortunately yes.' 'I'm going to lose it.' They cut off their telepathic conversation and Grim spoke up, "So the point is you're both terrible."
"You don't think that it's insane for my magic to get sealed away for eating ONE slice of tart?! For a mage, that's like having your arms and legs bound and shackled!" [Name] nor Grim looked impressed or condensed. "And there were three whole tarts! THREE! It's not like he could eat em all by himself!" Ace contained to try and converse them that the Headwarden was being overdramatic.
"You're both in the wrong," [Name] said. She held up one fist and put one figure up as she listed, "One, you snuck into the fridge. Two, you ate someone else's food. And three, you didn't even apologize for eating their food when they confronted you. Yes, the Headwarden did overreact but then again you did take his food." [Name] paused, "wow I sound like a hypocrite."Ace made a face a both of them, "What's with the lukewarm answers?"
"I mean, if there were three of em, they were probably meant for a party," Grim guessed. "Maybe it was someone's birthday or something? Look at me, I'm like a master detective too." [Name] thought hard about what Grim said, "A birthday party huh...no. That's not right." Her mind went into overdrive and brought up the most recent parts of her dream. The rose maze, the cards, the Queen, the red paint on the white roses. And most importantly, the falling into the abyss.
"[Name]...[Name]," said the female snapped back to reality as Ace stared at her.
"Yes?"
"Did you hear me," Ace asked. Blatantly the [e/c] eyed female shook her head no. An action to which Ace sighed, "I said you're coming with me to apologize because you were the one who suggested it." She nodded and waved him off. "Anyways, can I cash here tonight?"
"Oh," [Name] stared, "You were serious about that," Grim finished the sentence."Let me spell this out for you. N-o. NO," the flaming monster said with crossed arms.
"What?! Why?"
"Outside from the bedroom that [Name] and I use, the others are a dump hidden under at least a foot of dust. So if you want to crash here, you better clean." Ace frowned,
"No way! I hate cleaning!" The orange-haired male then gave a sly smile at the slightly dazed [h/c] girl. "Hey [Name]-" "No." "But I haven't even-" "I said no." "But I'm really slim. I won't take up much space!" [Name] stared at Ace with duller eyes. Ace slightly shrunk back under her gaze.
"For the last time. You are not sleeping with me. Take the sofa or sleep outside." Seeing that there was no room for argument, Ace nodded and a thick clean blanket was thrown at his face. "Night Carrot Top." And with that, [Name] and Grim went back upstairs to resume sleeping.Ace lay on his side and looked around the room. Though it had a few broken chairs and ripped wallpaper, it was surprisingly clean. Ace shivered at the slight breeze he felt and pulled up the thick blanket. "At least they gave me a blanket," he muttered as he started to drift off to sleep. Tomorrow was going to be a looooonnng day.
