"we had a smo- "you said you weren't a snitch?" i glared at michael.

"go on." ashton spoke completely ignoring my comment.

"we had a smoking incident." michael replied.

"i see." ashton replied slightly disappointed.

i could hear the disappointment dripping off his voice.

i gave michael one final glare before walking up to my room.

i sort of liked him towards the end, but not anymore.

ashton's pov

"this is hard." i mumbled.

"it is. she's very angry. she's also very resistant to authority." michael pointed out.

"tiffany must be really absent for her to be walking this far down a self destructive path without noticing." calum added.

"i know. a huge part of me is pissed at her, but it's also my fault. i can't expect much out of this. i wasn't there." i spoke softly.

"maybe you weren't, but she's struggling. it's hard to tell behind her tough girl attitude, but she's hurting. she needs a box to keep her grounded." luke replied.

then it hit me. he was right.

"maybe that could work. cause right now she's bouncing from one side to another completely chaotically, but maybe just for the beginning i need to keep a tighter hold on her to guide her in a better direction?" i spoke swiftly.

"i? mate she's technically out niece. we'll help in anyway that we can." luke smiled softly.

"okay, so here's what we'll do then." i spoke.

tory's pov

i sat upstairs with my music blaring in my headphones before my door cracked open.

i quickly took down my headphones and stared at the door.

"tory? sorry, i was knocking but i don't think you could hear me." luke spoke.

"oh, yeah. sorry. i was listening to music." i replied.

"cool. no problems at all. ashton wants to have a word with you." luke spoke quickly.

"why can't he come tell me that himself." i spoke with a blank expression.

luke didn't reply and waited for me to come downstairs with him.

i arrived downstairs and followed luke into the kitchen where the three other boys sat waiting.

"what?" i spoke firmly.

"no more smoking." ashton replied quickly.

i couldn't help but laugh. he really was going too far.

"you can't control that." i pointed out.

"have it your way. we could easily make it impossible for you to be home alone or without someone around." calum replied.

"sure." i shrugged. there was no way in hell that they were going to be around all the time.

"may i be excused?" i asked.

"did you eat today?" ashton asked.

"no, but i'm not hungry." i replied.

"you haven't eaten since yesterday morning i'm assuming." ashton spoke.

"and? stop acting concerned. i'm fine." i spit as i stood up and walked away.

i was going to keep smoking. it was my sense of control and i wasn't going to let it get taken away without a bit of a fight.

i walked into my room and shut the door and saw mom tried to call.

i immediately called her back.

"can you please buy me a ticket back home." i begged.

"you know i can't do that love." mom replied.

"why can't i just be at home alone." i sighed.

"because i don't think thats appropriate. you'd be living alone for practically two years and i don't want that for you." mom spoke softly.

first time in a long while she sounded sincere.

we talked for a couple more minutes, and she told me all about her new job and location. it sounded amazing.

we hung up and i went to go grab my cigarettes when i realized there was no way in hell i was going to be able to smoke tonight.

i sighed and curled up in the bed sheets.

maybe tomorrow will be a little better.
