The sudden movements broke Karan's slumber. He slowly opened his eyes and blinked frequently to get rid of the sleep. 
"Oh god. Tumhe to bohot gehri chot lagi hai." The words left from her mouth immediately. It made Karan look at her. 
Looking at her eyes that held pain for his wound made karan feel better and cared. But then yesterday's events came rushing to his mind making him instantly angry. He jerked of her hand.
"This is nothing in front of the pain you gave me." Taunting her, he stormed off to the washroom leaving a crying Teju behind. Teju wiped her tears and left his room.
Flashback 
5 years ago
With every passing day, Teju and Karan's love for each other only grew stronger and deeper. Teju, the girl who had never thought of talking to Karan was now head over heels for him while Karan, the bad boy who had pretended to be in love with Teju to win a bet was now truly and madly in love with her. They had never thought of taking their relationship to the next level very soon but on their fairwell day they couldn't control themselves and became one in very sense.
Their final exam was going on and it was Karan and Teju's last paper.They wouldn't be able to meet for the next few days so they had decided to meet each other after the exam.
So Teju was going to their usual spot. She wasn't feeling well since the last few days and the news of her father's transfer had worsen her condition. She was gonna tell everything to karan when she was stopped by Rishab.
"Teja, I need to talk to you. It's important." Rishab spoke. 
"Speak." Teju urged him to continue. 
"See this." Rishab showed her a video on his phone.
"Within next six months she will be in my arms. That's my challenge." The voice in the video said. 
The voice was familiar. Teju knew this voice. 
It was karan's voice. Teju couldn't believe it. 'Karan can never say something like that.' Teju said to herself in her mind.
"I know you won't believe me. Let me show you few more things." Rishab showed her some intimate photos of Karan and Amyra.
"You are my good friend, Teju. I'll never want anything bad for you. Leave him Teju. He doesn't deserve you. You are just a bet for him nothing else." Rishab said to her. 
Teju's tears were uncontrollable. With the thought of confronting Karan and ask him about the photos and videos as a part of her couldn't beleive on them, she went to their spot. But the scene she witnessed with her own eyes broke her totally. 
Karan and Amyra were kissing each other. Watching the scene in front of her, the pain she felt was unbearable. Her heart broke in zillion pieces. Without meeting him Teju left the college.

Karan was waiting for Teju but suddenly Amyra came and started kissing him. He pushed her with a lot of effort as she was clinging to him tightly.
"Pagol ho gayi ho? How dare you kiss me?" Karan shouted as he wiped his lips with his palms. He felt disgusted because of kissing by her.
"I'm sorry Karan. But you know, I have always been in love with you. I know you don't feel the same. Aaj humara last exam hai. Pata nahi next kab milungi tumse. So couldn't control myself. I'm sorry." Saying that she left from there. Karan scoffed at her retreating figure. 
Karan looked at his watch as there's no sign of Teju. 
"Where is Teju? She hasn't come yet. What's taking her so much time." 
He called her but her phone was switched off. He waited for her but she didn't showed up. 
Next few days passed with him waiting for her. Later he came to know that she had left the city.
That's how two souls deeply and madly in love with each other became the toy of cruel destiny that broke them apart. 
Flashback ends
In dinning area, Teju was feeding her sleeping son who as usual slept before dinner time.
"Duggu, don't keep the food in your mouth. Chew and swallow." Teju said softly to her sleeping son. 
He started to chew slowly and then gulped the food. 
At the same time, Karan's mother came to them pulling Karan along with her.
"Mom, I'm really not hungry." Karan said as he was being forcefully dragged by his mother. 
"Koi bahane nahi chalenge." His mom stated firmly as she forced Karan to sit and she herself took a seat beside Karan and opposite to Teju and Kiyaansh.
[AN : Teju and Karan's mom didn't meet. But Teju saw his mom on photos so she can recognise his mom.]
Both Karan and Teju looked at each other but looked away hearing Karan's mother's voice. "Ab tabiyat kesa hai bacche ka?"
"He is better now." Teju said softly smiling at Karan's mom. 
"Sunny puttar, yeh ladki wohi hai maine kaha tha jisne meri help ki thi saman uthane me." Karan's mom told Karan as she served him. 
Both looked at each other. They awkwardly smiled at each other and looked away. 
"Baby, mooh kholo." Teju said taking the spoonful of rice to his lips. 
The sleepy baby opened his mouth, Teju pushed the spoon inside his mouth then he started chewing. 
Karan was looking at them longingly.
"Hyy! He reminded me of Karan's childhood. Bilkul esa hi tha. Roj khane se pehle so jata tha aur phir sote hue kumbhkaran ko mujhe yuhi khilana padta tha." Karan's mom said laughing at the fond memory. 
Karan and Teju looked at each other. How Karan wished he could tell his mom that Kiyaansh was his son. That's why Kiyaansh shared the same trait as him.
