The second we arrived at The Death egg, our top priority was finding Queen Sonya's missing brother.
"Let's split up," I suggested, "That way, we'll have an easier chance of finding the missing prince."
"Hmm..." Said Knuckles aloud. "That's, actually, not a bad idea."
"I guess it's settled." Blaze shrugged. "Let's all meet back at the shuttle in ten minutes."
"Agreed!" Knuckles and I agreed and we all ran off in a different direction.

After two minutes of running, I came across a sign by an open archway. I couldn't read what it said, but I could see some cell doors.
"That must be the prison hall!" I thought and ran through there, hoping to Solaris that I was right.
I stopped in a room with more cells than I can count on one hand. All the cells were full of Mobians who were either banging against the doors, shouting or, these were all the youngest ones, crying for their mommies and daddies.
I looked around and saw a green hedgehog with brown eyes sitting alone in one of the cells. He was just staring at the ground of his cell, not saying anything. I don't know how, but I just knew that that was Prince Manic.
He looked up at me with fear in his eyes.
"Easy there." I attempted to calm him. "Everything's cool."
His fear turned to curiosity then. "Are you here to rescue me?" He asked.
"I am." I said.
"You don't know how much I appreciate this," Manic smiled. "It's been a while since I'd seen a friendly face."
When I went to open his cell, however, I heard the sound of stomping behind me.
"Zavok's standing right behind me, isn't he?" I asked Manic as he backed away in fear. "Nevermind, your reaction says it all."
I looked behind me at the hulking zeti. Beside him was a hedgehog I didn't recognise. They were short but looked very menacing, with blue and red quills, seemingly pixelated red eyes and the same mysterious ruby as the one in Infinite's chest.
"This is the end, Silver the hedgehog." Said Zavok. He was trying to sound menacing, but I kept myself calm, and even tried to imitate the late Great Sonic.
"Oh, hey Zavok." I said. "Looks like the party's starting. Wanna let my friend go so he can join in? No? Of coarse not, you hate fun!"
I heard the sound of running and saw Knuckles and Blaze run up to me.
"The end, huh?" I smiled at the sight of them and turned to face Zavok. "Let's see you and your strange lackey try something now it's three on one!"

"Foolish hedgehog," Zavok mocked, "Increasing your numbers doesn't make you stronger. Now, prepare to face the inevitable!"
He went to strike Blaze, but she moved out of the way just in time.
"The only inevitable thing," She said, "Is my foot kicking your butt!"
They leapt away to fight and Knuckles and I were left to fight the new lackey.
