WangJi scooped Wei Ying into his lap and released his calming pheromones to sooth his Wei Ying's distress. Wei Ying buried his face into crook of his neck and shivered in WangJi's arms. WangJi hugs him tightly and whispered in his ears.

Wei Ying knows what WangJi is saying is true. He have to brace himself to leave Lotus Pier. He already decided one day he will do that for his Lan Zhan. He just wanted to do as much as he can to the place which saved his life from streets. As the head disciple, he has more opportunities to serve the Jiang's. He thought he will stay there and do as much as he can before he marries with Lan Zhan. But he didn't expect this to happen.
