Chapter 12

                                    

                                          
The mission your father sent you on definitly helped with team bonding, well between you and Kakashi anway. 
You came home earlier than expected, with about 4 days to spare. After submitting your completed mission Asuna went home and you and Kakashi went on over to your apartment. 
"Do we keep this a secret for now?" You asked pouring him some tea.
"Well, I guess it would make things less complicated for now. Lets see how things develop before we tell anyone." He took a sip. "Besides. All the sneaking around really makes it a lot more fun." You smiled at his very true remark. 
You sat on his lap, straddling him. "So, I'm kind of hungry." He smirked at you. "How about you make me some lunch." You requested with a smile. 
"Well its going to cost you." He lifted you so that you were sitting on the table. 
"What do you want?" He leaned in to whisper into your ear.
"You know what I want." 
"Well lets see how nice the lunch is you make me and then we can talk about payment." You teased. He leaned in to kiss you but you quickly slid away, making him ache for you even more. "I'm going to take a shower. You get started on lunch" 
You made your way to the bathroom to take a nice hot shower. Being on the road meant you didnt always get to take nice showers or baths. You felt the water run down your body, making your muscles relax. 
After you were done you got out of the shower and on your counter you saw your pack of tampons. This made you question when exactly your period was. You checked to see what date it was and you were indeed a few days late. Before you let yourself go into a panick you told yourself that it was completely fine to be a few days late and it doesnt always mean anything. 
You came to the kitchen to find kakashi making some miso soup. "Smells good kakashi." You said very unenthusiastically, pondering on your late period.
"You okay? You seem off." He met his eyes, not quite catching what he said. "Whats wrong?" He snickered at having to ask you a third time because of how distracted you seemed. 
"I uhm-" You sat down at the kitchen table. "I'm late." You blurted out. 
"Late?" He looked confused. "Late for what?" After a few seconds it finally clicked. "Oh..." 
He sat next to you and placed a hand on your thigh. "Did you take a test?" You shook your head. "Okay well lets take a test first and go from there." He gave you a kiss on your forehead. "Have some soup. I'll go get a test. Be right back." 
You couldnt eat. You were thinking about the possibility of having a baby with Kakashi. Were you ready to have a baby? Was Kakashi going to be in the picture? How can you juggle being a ninja and raising a child?
Before long Kakashi came back with the tests and a few other things. "I have the test and I also got you some snacks." He got you your favourite, you smiled at his sweet gesture. 
"Do you want me to stay for the test?" You nodded. 
Not wanting to wait any longer you took the test to the bathroom. After peeing on the stick Kakashi set the timer for 3 minutes. You had no idea what to expect. Theres no way you can be pregant, you take the pill everyday at the same time. 
Once you heard the ding your stomach dropped. "Could you check it please." You covered your eyes. "I'm too nervous." 
Kakashi picked up the stick, a small smile grew on his face. "Your pregnant." He gave you the stick so you could see for yourself. He gave you a hug and a small kiss. "What do you want to do? I'll support your decision no matter what." 
"I dont know. I cant raise a baby by myself. I dont know the first thing about babies and what if I-" 
"Hey whoa, who said you'd be alone? I'll be there with you every step of the way."
"You will?" 
"Of course I will. This is our child. If you decide to keep it of course I'll support you." 
You couldnt help but cry at what Kakashi said. "Why would you say such nice things!" You wipped your tears. "Now I won't stop crying." He smiled at you. 
"Do you know what you want to do?" 
"I dont know, its scary. I mean I'm carrying a mini us, and he'll probably be super cute coz his dad is super cute." You rambled, most likely due to hormones. 
"Okay, well we need to see a doctor, get an ultrasound to see if everything is on track." 
You suddenly had a look of horror. "Whats my dad gonna say? He wont be mad right? Oh my god what if he gets mad?"
"Okay hey, calm down." He pulled you in for a hug. "Dont get ahead of yourself. Lets take it one step at a time." You nodded. "I'll make an appointment for an ultrasound tomorrow and we can see how the little guy is doing." 
"Kakashi." You spoke, hesitantly. "I know we said to keep things casual but could you stay over tonight?" 
He kissed your cheek. "Of course." 
The next day was the day of the ultrasound. Kakashi gave the genin the day off so he could spend it with you. He has becomd very caring since the pregnancy test. The wait in the waiting room felt like an eternity but your name was eventually called. 
The doctor instructed you to lay down on the bed and to lift your shirt. He squirted some gold jelly on your belly and moved the wand around trying to find the baby. "Right there." He pointed to a small speck on the screen. "Theres the little guy." You smiled at the little dot on the screen. "looks to be about 2 weeks"
You felt tears streaming down your cheeks. "Would dad like to see?" Kakashis eyes lit up when the doctor said that. 
"Yes, of course." He turned the screen to Kakashi. "Wow, he is really tiny."
Kakashi placed a hand on your belly while he looked at the screen. 
"Im going to prescribe you some prenatal vitamins that you will have to take throughout the pregnancy." The doctor said. "Do you have any questions?" 
"How long till we hear a heartbeat? Kakashi asked. 
"Around 6-7 weeks."
After you left the doctors office Kakashi took you for some ice cream. "Listen." He said as you both sat on the bench. "I know I said that I wanted to keep things casual for now but I want to be there for you and our baby. Im not saying we should get married or anything but maybe I could move in? I could help you around the house, make sure youre okay."
You giggled. "You dont have to take care of me Kakashi, im not bed ridden." 
"I know but, I just want to be there." 
"I dont want you to feel forced to be with me bacause of the baby." 
"I dont feel forced. This is the happiest day my life. The love of my life is carrying my child." He rubbed your belly, glossing over what he had just said. 
"The what?" You asked, in total shock. 
"You are the love of my life (y/n)." He pulled you in for a passionate kiss. "I only said to keep things casual because I was afraid of getting hurt. Things have changed now. We are starting a family." 
"Kakashi." You cupped his face and pulled him in for another kiss.
