"Fool. Do you really think that mere force will deny me my right...? Little King and Queen?" She scoffed at us.
"I'm not Little" Hera hissed but was ignored making her angry more while Peter put her sword down when he knew he can't beat her alone.
"Aslan knows the Deep magic better than that. He knows that unless I have blood, as the law demands, all of Narnia will be overturned and perish in fire and water" She said making everyone gasped in despair as the Witch looked at Edmund.
"That boy will die! On the stone table as is tradition" she said with a small wicked smile. Edmund paled in fear at what the Witch said.
"I do not Deny it" Said Aslan.
"Then, dare not refuse me" The White Witch said with a sardonic smile.
"Enough" Aslan growl in deep voice causing everyone in silent.
"I shall talk with you alone" Aslan said and walk to his tent. The Witch, with bright eyes, raised her chin and followed Aslan to his tent. They all bow down and obeyed. it was hard waiting and and much harder when they don't know of what they are talking such in low voices.
Edmund clenched his palms until his knuckles turned white. He hated himself for falling for the Witch's tricks, if he didn't followed Lucy that night to frighten her, He wouldn't meet the White Witch and he wouldn't have betrayed his Siblings and Hera and Aslan wouldn't be put into this Predicament.
"Oh Edmund!" Lucy cried and hugged Edmund and put her little arms around his waist. Peter stood with back to the others looking at the distant boulders and little hills. The beavers stood holding each other's paws with head bowed down. the centaurs stamped on the grounds with unease but everyone became perfectly still as they wait for their two monarchs discussion.
Hera looked at Edmund and put her hand on his shoulder.
"I know what your thinking. And I want you to stop it, Edmund" Hera said.
"This is all my fault..." He whispered.
"Aslan will help you, he promised that. You are not going to be sacrificed in the Stone Table" Susan continued. Edmund sighed in frustration dropped down on the ground. Lucy, with worried in her eyes sat down beside Edmund.
they all sat down beside him, playing with the grass to pass time. it was hard to wait, some were holding their breathe waiting for the news, some were bearing their teeth as they growled at the cyclops, the bearers of the White Witch's Palanquin.
Seconds turned to minutes turned to hours until the bright sky dim to dark when the White Witch came out of Aslan's tent.
Hera stood up followed by Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy. Hera frowned, feeling scared, nervous and worry all together that she can't help but squeeze Edmund's arm protectively.
The five humans followed her every move with heedful and scared eyes.
She didn't look victorious nor defeated. her face was blank as she walk right back to her palanquin. Aslan followed suit and watch her stood in front of her palanquin.
The five of them look at Aslan with full of hope and worry of what the last judgement would be.
"I have settled the matter. She has renounced her claim on the Son of Adam's blood" Aslan said making everyone cheered. Edmund sighed in relief and was hugged by peter, Susan and Lucy while Hera smiled but there is still lingering doubt in her heart that she can't diminished.
