Day 1: Golden Video

I've been lying here awake for about an hour now, tracing my fingers over the marks I left all over Nola's back or I guess I should say the marks that the wall left all over her back. It really doesn't matter who left them, she is going to have to forego wearing anything sleeveless for a while. I'm surprised that my fingertips haven't woken her, but I am not upset about it. Our evening obviously left her extra tired.

It's not that I'm not tired, but I'm too excited about her coming to the the music video shoot today to sleep any longer. "Darling, we need to get up," I tell her and she groans. I kiss the grumpy smirk, hoping to erase it from her pretty face and it works. She replaces it with a tired smile and a peck on the lips. "All we have to do is get the girls fed and dressed. The car will be here at 7:30."

She rolls over so that she's laying on my chest with her chin propped on top of her hands. She is playing with my chest hair while still contemplating getting out of bed. "I know." she huffs, lifting her body off of mine. "I'll go take a quick shower." She leaves the bed so fast that I don't have any time to protest, but my hand is able to reach out and smack her ass on her way to the bathroom, which earns a giggle.

I don't need to shower because I am going to be sweating my ass off while running for the first part of filming. So, I take the time to go downstairs to make sure everything is packed up for both me and the girls, whipping up a big batch of smoothies for us to drink on the way to the shoot. Even Hattie has become a fan of my smoothies.

Nola grab sthe girls and get them dressed after she's out of the shower. At 7:22am, my little women enter the kitchen with their mama. "You four look gorgeous!"

"Good morning Harry," Mia says sleepily rubbing her eyes. I walk over and lift her up.

"Oh, darling. I know it's early, but you're going to have such a fun day," I tell her. She rests her head on my shoulder and shakes it in agreement. "Hey, I made us all smoothies," I tell her and she perks up a little bit. I fly her over to the counter in my arms so that she can pick up the cup that has an 'M' on the side of it on the way to the car. I grab my own smoothie and watch the rest of the group grab theirs behind us.

The first five minutes of the drive are very quiet because everyone is busy drinking their breakfast. I see Nola's legs bouncing, giving away her obvious nerves about coming with me this morning. I know she is nervous to meet Jeff. I'd be lying if I wasn't nervous about this introduction, too, but I can't let her know that. "It will be fine. He will love you. He will love the girls, too."

"I just get nervous to meet people," she answers. I know that's probably true, but I also think she's nervous because she doesn't yet known this part of my life and she's worried that she won't like it. To be honest, I'm a little worried about that, too.

I talked with Nola last night and we decided that I would get out of the car first and she would wait a few minutes to get out with the girls. Then, if there are any paps, they can stay in the car and circle the block and enter the building from another door. Either way, we avoid pictures of us together, which neither of us want at this point.

Thankfully, there's nobody lying in wait for me at the location, so she is able to get the girls out of the car and inside easily. "Right this way, ladies," I say to them at the top of the stairs, excited for them to come in and show them what I got for them.

Nola is carrying a bag and a Hattie in her car seat. "Do you need help?"

"I just have this one bag and Hattie," she says stubbornly shaking her head, but I ignore her and take Hattie's seat from her. When I walk through the door, holding an infant in a car seat, the whole room gores quiet and all head whip my direction. The reaction causes Nola to stiffen up, so I place a gentle palm on her lower back.
