no ships, just platonic!!!Story type: Child!Reader scenario, fluff
You hugged your teddy bear tighter, as the tall black and goopy man with one eye led you somewhere. You were entering a door after a door together.
—Mr.Seek? — You worryingly called.
—What is it, sweety? — He looked at you with his scary eye, bit his glare meant no harm.
—Where are we heading? — You asked, as you looked at your teddy bear.
—You said you like reading books, so I thought... — Mr.Seek went silent for a moment. — ..Maybe you would like the library? A friend of mine roams there, he looks scary, but he's nice. And blind.
—A library?! — You felt joy filling you with energy as you rushed forward. — I need to see!
—Wait, be quiet! — Mr.Seek ran after you.
You rushed through all the doors, finally stopping when you saw some fancy doors in front of you, with a carefully beautifully carved "50" on it.
As you made a step forward, the doors opened in front of you with a creak.
A scary humanoid creature, made out of flesh and with a mouth on whole face appeared in your vision. Looking at all these sharp teeth, you almost skipped a heartbeat, that creature was scary.
It growled as it started to move more confidently and faster, as it started to increase it's speed and approach you.
—FIGURE, WAIT, IT'S A KID! — Mr.Seek came just in time, his voice instantly stopping and calming the taller entity.
—A..child? — The scary creature replied, as it's movements became slower and relaxed. — My apologies, I did...not know.
—Y/N. This is Figure. — Mr.Seek's eye looked at you, and then at the guy with the huge mouth. — Figure, this is Y/N. Can you sense their heartbeat?
—Yes, yes, indeed I can.. A fast heartbeat of a small child. — Mr.Figure turned his head to your direction, you could notice that he was trying to turn his head to make sure that it looks like he's staring at you. — Nice to meet you, Y/N.
—N-nice to meet you, Mr.Figure. — You replied, making sure that you didn't hug your teddy bear too tight, you don't want to choke him.
—They like to read, so I thought they could be with you for some time. — Mr.Seek shook his shoulders. — While Guiding Light is trying to deal with...the issue.
—Of course, only if our little Y/N is okay with-
—BOOKS! — You screeched as you ran into the library, ignoring these two tall guys.
—Y/N, STOP RUNNING OFF! — Mr.Seek's voice sounded annoyed, but Mr.Figure was laughing.
But you absolutely ignored him, no, you forgot about him. There were thousands of books in your sight.
Maybe there was a slight mess in the library, but it didn't stop you from being amazed. You ADORED books, and this is just an amazing opportunity to read ALL of them.
You quickly ran to the closest couch and placed your teddy bear there. You smiled and gently kissed him into his forehead.
—Wait here, I'll find a book for us to read! — You giggled as you ran and started to look around.
Science books, dramas, romantic stories, fanfictions, classic, fantasy and fantastic, teenage, young adult...And there was that book that caught your glaze.
"The Fault In Our Stars" by John Green.
This book looked rather curious, but it was on a high shelf. You couldn't reach it even if you jumped, even if you moved a couch and jumped, though you doubt you could move the couch.
—Need help? — Mr.Figure's voice sounded behind you, as you screeched, but then started giggling.
—Yeah! I can't reach the upper books! — You answered, looking at the creature, who you saw cute now.
—Alright, come on. — He lifted you up in a very high distance. —Here?
—A little bit down! — You giggled and he did as you pleased.
You instantly grabbed the book you wanted to read, as some other book caught your stare. A strange and clean book, no, I mean all books were clean from the dust, but this one looked like it's been used many times.
It was slightly injured, seems like by accident. You reached out for the book and grabbed it.
—What's Braille? — You asked Mr.Figure.
—It's a language for blind like me. — Mr.Figure replied. — Is that all or do you want me to help with other books?
—That's all! — You happily replied, as he put you down. — But how do you read this?
—I touch it. — He opened the second book you grabbed and started to gently touch the soft paper with some shaped letters on it. — It says it has been released in 2009, in New York. It's a fantasy story.
—Woah! And you understood it all just by touching a few letters?! — You were amazed.
—Yes, I did. — Mr.Figure chuckled.
—Can you teach me? — You wrapped your arms around his leg, because compared to him, you were ridiculously small. — Pleeaaase!
—Haha, of course I can. — Mr.Figure's voice sounded quite warm. — Let's find a place where it's going to be comfortable for you, shall we?
—The couch! Mr.Figure, my friend Teddy's waiting! — You cheered at the entity and he lifted you up again, and brought you to the couch.
He carefully took your teddy bear as well and sat on the couch, letting you and Teddy sit on his lap. He made sure that you were comfortable enough and opened the book.
—Okay, let's start now. — Figure chuckled, as he felt how you were hugging him.
The scary monster wasn't scary at all! He maybe was blind, but he was nice! And good! And kind!
He didn't mean any harm, that's for sure! He even cared for Teddy, your teddy bear. He helped you and he is nice, maybe even nicer than Mr.Seek.
No, both of them are nice.
But Mr.Figure is cool! He has no eyes, but even then he reads a lot of books!
You brightly smiled, as you carefully listened to every word he said.
Now your goal was to learn Braille and too finish ALL of the books in the library.
