I know all this sounds crazy, right?
It really does sound crazy.
Suddenly the chain of my thoughts broke when I heard a huge thud and gush of wind hit me straight in the face. Jumping in place I looked up to see Shraddha glaring at me. Blinking my eyes I looked around and understood that she actually threw a file on my table.
"Where the hell are you roaming?" She sort of screamed. No, she actually screamed.
"Umm… nothing. Just… thinking about ….. my.. my designs." I said, trying to make her believe.
She folded her hands over her chest and narrowed her eyes at me, "How about we try this again and you tell me the truth this time?" She asked.
I sighed. It’s almost a year since I started Dream Designers and it's almost a year since Shraddha joined in with me. I don’t have many friends in India since I left India in my teens itself. And since I started Dream Designers Shardda has been with me in all the ups and downs and unknowingly she became my confidante. She can put up with my bullshit all the time and can also easily see through my lies.
I always dumped all my worries over her and it looks like I need to do that again because if I don’t spill out my thoughts now I sure am gonna be crazy soon.
Rubbing my hands over my face I sighed and I noticed that she actually pulled up a chair beside me.
"What's wrong?" She asked and that's how I spilled out all my thoughts.
Biting her lip she hummed once I finished speaking, "Maybe you're reading him wrong?"
I shrugged, "Maybe or maybe not."
"I don't think he would go to the extent of getting engaged if he is not ready for this or agreeing to this."
I sighed, "We don't know that Shraddha."
"Umm…. Why don't you contact him? Meet him. Speak with him. Go out on a date."
I raised my brow at her.
She rolled her eyes, "I'm not telling you to date him or fall for him. I know you won't do both of that. And you're into this thing only for Adiraj."
See, I know she will see through me.
"But as you already agreed to this, it is a minimum common thing for you guys to meet and greet." She said.
As if I hadn't thought, "I thought of speaking with him even before this engagement itself. I wanted to make sure that he really is ready to accept Adiraj."
"Then why haven't you?" She asked.
"They suddenly arranged for the engagement in a very short span and I couldn't get the chance."
"Then why not now?" She asked.
"I again spoke with Papa regarding this. He said that Jaiveer isn't in the country right now. He went abroad for some business meetings."
Her mouth formed a little O.
"Why can't we contact him? Call or message?" She asked.
"This is not something we speak over phone, Shraddha and moreover I don't have his number."
She frowned, "It's not a big matter and we don't need to discuss this much. At least contact him. Tell him to meet once he returns or tell him to call when he is free."
Biting my lip I pondered this. To be precise I'm nervous as hell to contact him. I don't know why. But again prolonging this will only make me crazy.
"Advika! He won't bite. It's just a simple harmless talk. Which is much needed for you two."
