warmings: nonesynopsis — y/n recounting her first meeting with jenna as she admires her amazing talent.
y/n's pov
a smile made its way across my face as i sat behind the camera watching jenna film one of the last remaining scenes for wednesday. jenna and i met a year ago, back when she had just gotten the role. she had came in to film the screen test. as i watched her portray the emotionless character with so much, emotion, i remember how intrigued i felt when i saw her first make the character come alive. how jenna transformed into wednesday right before my eyes.
"thank you for coming ms. ortega."
i looked up from behind the camera i was working with. that name caught my attention. i've known jenna ortega from previous films she had been in like scream and x. i knew she was probably one one the top callbacks for the roll of wednesday, her previous roles showcasing her absolute brilliance and talent. "it's an honor to be able to be here. thank you so much for the opportunity." her sweet voice filled the room . her long brown hair flowed past her shoulders, brown eyes showed a hint of nervousness but eagerness. feeling my face warm up , i couldn't help but notice how beautiful she was. she held the script in her hand and in an instant our eyes met. i smiled softly and she returned one back."ms. ortega, this is y/n the cinematographic director on set. she will be filming the screen test today." director burton explained. i made my way to her from my place behind the camera to introduce myself. "nice to meet you ms. ortega." i held out my hand for her shake and she took it. "you can call me jenna. nice to meet you too y/n." she laughed. my heart flutters at the sound of her laugh.
director burton instructed jenna to stand on the x in front of the camera that i stood behind. the camera just enhanced her already stunning features. she was breathtaking.
"alright jenna, i'll start a countdown and we'll start the scene."
"alright, thank you." i saw jenna nervously fumble with the script in her hands through the camera. i moved away from the camera and gave her a thumbs up. "no doubt you're gonna do great ." i assured her with a smile. the nervousness on her face faded as she nodded reciprocating a smile back. she held her head high as her posture changed, her confidence building with every second that passed.
adjusting the camera to frame jenna in perfectly, i began the countdown and started filming.
30 minutes later, jenna uttered the last few monotone lines of the addams character.
"and scene." i beamed, turning off the recording.
i knew what tim had to be thinking. she was perfect for the role. nobody had even come close to jenna's astonishing performance.
