Story will feature my OCs, Alderstar and Petalsand, as well as Fungichomp (belonging to Tumblr's Wills-Woodland-Warriors), Haywild [previously Haypad and Wildpaw], and Perchclaw, Pumkinpatch, Runningripple, beloning to RunningOnImpulse, who wrote the story.

Setting: Place of No Stars

Alderstar sighed deeply as he called another adoption meeting to order.

Unlike the first meeting, which had been about as civil as the Dark forest could be, this meeting was full of new faces and bared teeth.

"Everyone SHUT UP." Perchclaw yelled. "Let Alderstar talk!"

Alder nodded gratefully at his son, who merely rolled his eyes.

"In light of recent events, it has come to my attention that further rules need to be added to the adoption code."

He was cut off by a rally of hisses and boos, which were silenced quickly with a single glare.

"First new rule. All adoptions must be approved by Fungichomp."

"What's the point of that?" Someone called from the crowd.

"The point is to make sure that all adoptees will not be hurt in any way by their caregivers." Alder responded calmly. He had grown used to the faceless snark by now, and he had a sneaking suspicion that the heckler was Pumpkinpatch, though he didn't voice his suspicions to his mates.

"Second, adoptees must show a need or want to have caregivers. In standard terms, stop trying to adopt Haywild, because they, quote, "will rip anyone else who tries a new one."

Haywild nodded from the front of the crowd, eyes blazing.

"Third, the age limit has been removed from the adoption process, seeing as Runningripple pointed out that not only kits and apprentices need care."

Runningripple puffed out his chest before turning to make sure Petalsand was still beside him.

Alderstar sighed heavily.

"Meeting dismissed, stay out of trouble."

He jumped down from the rock he'd been standing on and walked back towards his den.
