"i know it's a lot to ask, but do you want to help me pick my idiot friends up from a bar?" caitlin says getting up, extending a hand to lia.
"well, there's worse i could be doing right? why not?" she says with a reserved smile, leaving caitlin grinning from ear to ear.
they both walk back to caitlin's house. caitlin runs inside to grab her keys before driving over to trent street, she decides to park a few blocks away. as she gets out of the car, lia unbuckles her seatbelt as well.
"whoa, wait a second, are you sure you want to enter a bar, you know because you're you?" caitlin says rushing to the other side of the car, helping lia out.
"thank you," she says stepping out of the car. "you think that you yourself would be able to take 6 drunk adults back to your car and safely home?" lia says walking besides caitlin shivering from the breeze. caitlin takes off her puffer jacket, handing it off to lia, helping her zip it up and putting the hood on the jacket.
"well i would hope so, but i guess i don't mind if you tag along," caitlin grins as she pats lia's head softly. when they reach the bar, caitlin can't see the smile on lia's face as she opens the door to let her enter. she spots her friends near the darts. the problem is, this seems to be one of those days in which the bar is a full capacity. standing in between the entrance and the dart board in the corner of the bar is around 60 people at least. caitlin instinctively pulls lia closer to her as they navigate through the crowd of people toward to darts.
when they reach the girls, viv looks like she's about to pass out, if she hasn't already. katie and steph are in conversation with one another, both seem to be drinking water. she's got no idea where jordan and jen are. caitlin examines the girls as one of leah's darts comes dangerously close to hitting another person standing beside the board. "okay! it seems like we all need to head home," caitlin says taking the darts away from a very drunk leah.
"whaaat, noooooo why? i'm havinggg sooo much funnn cait," leah says her words slurring. caitlin eventually catches jen and jordan out of the corner of her eyes by the pool table. slowly, she gathers everybody around lia who is off standing to the side, watching amused.
"watch them for me please," caitlin pleads as she's still struggling with leah, who is refusing to give up the drink in her hand.
"yeah, no problem. how about i take the ones that are okay to your car?" lia asks patting a sleepy steph on the head. "oops, sorry," she quickly adds as steph startles awake. caitlin nods as she tosses over her keys to lia. viv, katie and steph all seem to be awake enough that lia only has to follow them out through the crowd. lia slips 2, 50 pound banknotes to the bartender and leads the girls out and into caitlin's car without much hassle.
caitlin however seems to be having a much more difficult time. leah, jen, and jordan are a little more trouble to get out of the bar because they all seem a couple of drinks away from blacking out. lia's returned from getting the others into the car and laughs and caitlin trying to get beneath both leah and jordan.
"your friends seem fun," lia says taking jen and guiding her beside caitlin, who is still struggling with both vice captains. they stumble their way out of the bar and caitlin sighs in relief as they hit the open streets.
"yeah they're alright, no, no, leah please the car's this way," caitlin says reeling in leah who's trying to go with lia as well.
"they're alright at best," she says glaring at leah who has now latched herself onto lia, opposite of jen."you're sooooo prettyyy, not prettier than jordan, becausee jordans soooo pretty, i love her, im going to marry jordan one day," she says pointing a finger to lia, who laughs softly.
