Winchester mystery house has captivated paranormal investigators all around the world for nearly a century, there are over 12 million visitors including the team of ghost adventures, myth busters, and buzz feed unsolved.
Located in San Jose of northern California the house is famous for its bizarre architecture, it is considered to be one of the world's longest home renovations spanning over 36 years stopping only when the owner of the house Sarah Winchester passed away.
She was solely responsible for the never-ending renovation, no architect was hired to plan the house, whatever she wanted to build she built.
The house covers 24 000 sq feet area,161 known rooms (maybe some rooms are still not found), 10000 windows, 2000 doors, 2 basements, 3 elevators, 6 kitchens, 47 stairways and fireplaces, secret passages, skylights in the floor, trap door, staircase leading to nowhere, door opening in the sky, and etc

To this day no blueprint has been found for the construction, a maze of wood filled with windows and doors and staircases, a home you could spend hundreds of hours in and still not see it all.

The story of Winchester
Born in 1840 Sarah Pardee was from New Haven Connecticut, she was bright and well-educated, Sarah could speak 4 languages and play 3 instruments, she married William Wirt Winchester in 1862.

In 1866 William's father Oliver Winchester renamed his new havens arms company to the Winchester repeating arms company, the Winchester rifle was the favourite of westerns, it was beloved by Annie Oakley, Buffalo Bill and president Theodore Roosevelt.

It is perhaps the most iconic weapon of America in the 1800s and the ultimate weapon of death in wars to come.
Over 8 million Winchester 1866, 1892, and 1894 models were manufactured and sold, the same year Winchester repeating arms company started Sarah gave birth to a daughter Annie her only child, who died 6 weeks later due to Marasmus.
In 1880 Williams's father Oliver died, 1 year later William died, leaving 50 per cent of the company and 20 million dollars of inheritance to Sarah, instantly making her one of the richest women alive.
Shortly after Sarah moved from the east coast to the west coast where she purchased 161 acres of orchards. On this massive plot of land sat an eight-room two-story farmhouse and it's here that the story of the Winchester mystery house begins.
Fact: To this day you can visit the attic that used to be on the land at that time.
