5 years later

Emily and Alison graduate from Stanford, both with physical education degrees, specializing in their respective sports. They both recieve job offers at Rosewood and take them.

It's the first day of their new jobs. They drive onto the Rosewood High campus together.

"Are you nervous? I'm nervous."

"A bit, but we can do this. We have dealt with much worse than regular high schoolers."

"You are absolutely right."

Emily leans across the console and gives Alison a quick peck on the lips before they head inside.

"Is that the queen b and her mermaid goddess?"

They both turn around.

"Mona Marin.  What are you doing here?"

"Teaching cyber safety."

"They couldn't have picked a better person for the job."

"And the two of you?"

"Coaching."

"Very fitting for both of you."

"How's Han and the little one?"

"They are perfect. God, being a mother is so amazing. I love them both so much more than I ever thought I could love anyone."

They all smile. Then they hear another familiar voice.

"Oh my God. Ali, Em, Mona?"

They turn and see Aria walking down the hallway.

"Aria! Well isn't this a hell of a reunion."

"Who would've thought we would all be back in Rosewood?"

"Is Spencer here too?"

"Technically she's in Philly but she visits often."

"I bet she does."

"Oh shut up, Ali."

"We are happy for you two, Aria. Team Sparia all the way."

They laugh and all head to the teachers lounge together.

Everyone's families come together for Thanksgiving. While Emily is distracted with Hanna's baby, Alison pulls Pam and Wayne to the side. She looks nervous. Pam gently places her hand on Alison's arm.

"Is everything okay, sweetie?"

"Yes. I..I just wanted to speak with both of you. I know that you two are a more tradition family and I want to respect that." Alison pauses for a moment to take a breath and try to calm their nerves. "I would like your blessing to ask for your daughters hand in marriage."

Wayne smiles.

"We have seen how much you love our daughter. We know the lengths you have went to in order to protect her in the past. I would be proud to have you as my daughter-in-law. You have my blessing."

Pam nods in agreement, tears in her eyes.

"We love you Alison. I know I could not ask for a better person to spend forever with my little girl. You have my blessing too."

A week before Christmas, Alison sets her plan in motion. She meets with Pam while Emily is out shopping. Pam gives her a family ring to propose with.

Over the course of the rest of the week, Alison has Hanna and Aria on Emily distraction duty and she puts Mona and Spencer to work helping her decorate out at the Kissing Rock.

Christmas Morning, Alison wakes Emily up with breakfast in bed.

"Merry Christmas, baby."

Emily smiles at her.

"Merry Christmas, my love."

"Eat up, today's a big day."

"Of course it is, it's Christmas."

Alison chuckles. She knows Christmas proposals are cheesy as hell but Christmas is Emily's favorite holiday and she knows that will make it so much more special.

After breakfast, Alison receives a text letting her know that everyone is in place.

"Come on. Get dressed, I have a surprise for you."

Alison hands Emily an outfit she picked out for the day. They two of them get dressed. Alison hands Emily a blindfold when they get to the car.

"No peeking. It's a surprise."

Emily feels the car stop and Alison comes around and opens her door.

"Still no peeking."

"Where are we going?"

"Patience, love."

Alison leads her through the woods to the Kissing Rock. All of their friends are there, along with Pam and Wayne. Pam hands Alison the ring box and Alison gets down on one knee.

"You can remove the blindfold now."

Emily takes off the blindfold and gasps. Pictures of the two of them hang from the trees, lit up by fairy lights. On top of the Kissing Rock is the oldest picture of them along with the most recent and a sign that says 'In love since 9th grade....'
Emily looks down and sees Alison kneeled in front of her. Alison opens the ring box.

"When I was at my most lonely, angry, and unhappy place, you loved me. When I was an ugly human being, you saw a beautiful soul. You make the world a better place because you see the good in it. You make me a better woman because you searched for one. From the moment I met you, I started falling for you. You were the only person I let my guard down with. Hurting you, being away from you, it killed me inside, but I found my way back to you. I want to spend forever in your arms. Emily Fields, will you marry me?"

Tears of joy slide down Emily's face.

"Yes! Yes of course I'll marry you."

Alison slides the ring onto Emily's finger and stands up, pulling her into a kiss as their friends and family cheer around them. Mona pulls a second sign from behind her back and places it next to the first. 'In love forever.'

Wayne walks Emily down the aisle first, then Spencer walks Alison down the aisle. Then they both sit in the front row on opposite sides of the aisle. The minister opens his notes. He first gestures to Emily.

"Who is giving this young woman away?"

Wayne smiles and stands.

"I am."

The minister then gestures to Alison.

"And who is giving this young woman away?"

Spencer proudly stands.

"I am."

Emily and Alison can barely say their vows through tears of happiness, but they finally get to their I dos.

"By the power vested in me, by the state of Pennsylvania, I now pronounce you wife and wife. You may kiss your bride."

Emily and Alison smile into their first kiss as a married couple. They walk back down the aisle hand in hand, whispering to each other.

"You are so beautiful."

"Me? Have you seen you?"
