A Flower that Blooms | Part One

I woke up this morning to an empty bed as memories from yesterday's events flooded my head, I need something to distract myself.

Hunter stayed at a hotel last night and he wanted me to meet him at a restaurant tonight for dinner. Part of me wanted to believe him, but because of all the traumatic events and experiences I've been through throughout my entire life, I just couldn't find it in myself to fully comprehend and understand what was happening.

Why would Addison go through all of this? It just didn't make sense to me.

I sighed as I climbed out of bed. I had a few things that I needed to get done at the office plus I hadn't been there in a while.

After a minute of getting dressed or at least trying to I finally made my way to the company. When I appeared out of the elevator, I immediately felt eyes on me, stares at me, and my stomach.

Some were shocked, I could tell from the look on their faces. I rubbed my stomach as I smiled lightly.

"Well, hello to all of you too." I said as I greeted everyone in the lobby that was currently staring at me. They immediately rushed up to me, congratulating me, and asking how far along I was.

I smiled and laughed at all of them. I felt like a totally different person. Hunter and this baby that was currently growing inside of me made me realize that there was a lot of things I needed to experience. Love was one of those things and happiness was another.

I walked down the hallway and down to my office. Delaney was surprised to see me as well, but I told her I was only going to be here for maybe a hour or so probably less and I didn't require her assistance this morning.

I was responding back to a few emails when I heard a knock on my door.

"Come in." I said as I looked up from my computer screen and at the door. It was Hunter and he had two cups of coffee in his hand. One for himself and I was assuming the other one was for me.

"I didn't know you were coming in today." He said as he closed the door, walked over to my desk, and placed the coffee down in front of me.
