Howard rolled his eyes in annoyance as he waited for a long while just so that the storyline could come back to our main woman and get her out of the house she had been crashing at.
That house was none other than our boy Howard's!
"Shut up," Howard sounded angry as he moved around the kitchen, trying to cook something for his kids while his husband was out for his evening walk.
Someone has got a stick up their ass.
"Did you hear that too?!" Howard rolled his eyes again as the woman sitting at the counter stared at him with widened eyes. She was the real problem in Howard's life since she had been here for God only knows how many days, and she had been doing nothing but just lazing around on the living room sofa.
It wasn't like she would watch the tv and just eat snacks all day. No, that would be the normal thing to do, but this woman had been laying around on the sofa and just staring at the blank screen. And it didn't end there.
Ola would shush anyone near the sofa and tell them how she needed to hear the voice again.
Awe, she missed me.
"Do you hear the voice too?!" This time Howard slammed the spatula down on the counter in anger as he turned around to glare at the woman. He had been happily cooking sausages for his husband and kids, and this woman; but nothing was going according to his plans.
"Yes! Yes, I do, now please stop bothering me!"
Ola's eyes widened as she smiled widely instead of being angry at the man's scolding. "Good, now you just need to tell me that I'm not crazy."
Oh my god, what has happened to this woman?
"You weren't this useless in my time."
Ola watched Howard in interest as he definitely wasn't talking to her since she could hear the voice and he could hear the voice. Now, she just needed a sign on what to do to get Freda and both of her parents back on her side.
"Yeah, that's not happening." Ola's eyes widened as she looked at Howard, who frowned. "Can you hear my thoughts too?"
"You literally said all of that out loud!"
The sound of the front door opening brought Howard's attention away from the woman he had been housing. "I'm back, honey!"
Ola stared at her colleague's immediate shift in mood as he smiled widely at his husband, who gave him a large smile as well. "And how's my little friend here?" Howard's mood turned sour again as he watched his husband shift his attention to the woman sitting at the counter.
This was one of the worst parts about having Ola stay over at their house. Howard's husband – – was babying Ola and taking away his precious time away from Howard.
"I'm doing better today." Ola answered truthfully since she had finally started hearing the voice again, and her mail room colleague had also admitted to hearing the voice as well. Therefore, she was not crazy, and no one could convince her otherwise.
"That's excellent!" Howard rolled his eyes as he turned away from the two and stabbed a poor fried sausage before placing it on a plate.
And then entered Howard and Andrei's two lovable children –
"Daddy's back!"
Andrei laughed out loud as he embraced both of his running children, who in turn showed disgust at how sweaty their dad really was. Ola watched in admiration as the two kids giggled but also pushed their father away from them. Howard, being the strict dad, also watched with a smile. He would always have these realizations about how he had made the best decision ever to actually give this man the chance he deserved.
