The Lady Laena Velaryon was dead.

The wind was blowing within the air and into everyone's hair as the ocean waves crashed amongst the large and cold rocks close to the shore. The sun seemed to take notice of the demeanor from the many civilians all around as it decided to hide behind the clouds and not shine down on the many people all around in Driftmark. The funeral for Laena Velaryon was full of people as the ones who knew her grieved over the loss of the woman.

The Lady Laena had gone into labor late at night and when she overheard about how she'd die either way by the end of the birth, so despite the pain, she had decided to go to her dragon and say the one word that dragons could never refuse to do. Dracarys. After the hesitance in the dragon's eyes as she pleaded with her to do as she said, Laena had closed her eyes one last moment before she was being burnt alive in front of her husband, killing herself and the babe inside during the process.

Within the crowd near the tombstone casket, Y/n stood in between her little brothers and in front of her mother as Rhaenyra held her children close to her. Just beside them, Laenor held his hands clasped together as he looked down, grieving over the the loss of his sister just like his parents and nieces were currently doing as well.

However, the children were also grieving over the loss of Ser Harwin Strong after the castle they were sleeping in caught on fire, killing him and his father, Lord Lyonel Strong in the process. Just across from the small family, Prince Daemon Targaryen didn't show any emotion about the death of his wife, something he was very good at doing, as he stared straight ahead, letting his violet eyes examine the three eldest children of Rhaenyra Targaryen and Laenor Velaryon, completely ignoring the burning gaze of Ser Vaemond Velaryon right on his left.

Just on his other side, his two daughters, Baela and Rhaena Targaryen, held deep frowns along their faces as they continued to grieve over their mother, wondering what they were to do now that she was gone and they weren't able to say goodbye before she burned herself from her dragon. Glancing towards the king and queen's family after feeling some eyes on her, Y/n met Aemond's gaze, who was already staring at her.

It had been a few days since they saw one another after Rhaenyra, her children and her husband had left Kings Landing and went to Dragonstone without even saying goodbye, the princess and heir to the Iron Throne wanting to leave after all the rumors of her children's parentage.

"We join today at the Seat of the Sea to commit the Lady Laena of House Velaryon to the eternal waters, the dominion of the Merling King where He will guard her for all the days to come. As she sets to sea for her final voyage, the Lady Laena leaves two true-born daughters on the shore. Though their mother will not return from her voyage, they will all remain bound together in blood. Salt courses through Velaryon blood. Ours runs thick. Ours runs true. And ours must never thin." Vaemond announces in High Valyrian, causing many gazes looking to Rhaenyra and her children.
